York St John is a small university serving around 6,000 students and is made up of four faculties: Arts; Education and Theology; York St John Business School; and Health and Life Sciences. It also features sporting traditions with rowing, rugby, and cricket clubs dating back to the 19th century. Most of its student accommodation is situated in the immediate surrounds of the university campus.
