There is something for everyone in Bournemouth. Enjoy a stroll in one of the numerous beautiful parks where you will find gardens and lawns that make ideal picnic spots, little bridges crossing water, and other idyllic spots to spend your free time. You can learn a water sport by going scuba diving, fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking or even surfing. Immerse yourself into British culture by trying the traditional cuisine, like the famous fish & chips, or by sipping an afternoon tea with calming sea views. Frequently asked questions about student housing in Bournemouth

How do I apply for a student flat on Student.com?

Applying for student accommodation with Student.com is very simple. First you need to figure out which property you’d like to live in. After that you should go to the property page by clicking ‘View rooms’.

On the property page you’ll need to choose your room and the dates when you want to live there. Then you’ll need to click on ‘Enquire’ or ‘Book Now’. You’ll be asked to leave your contact details and one of our booking consultants will soon get in touch with you to answer any questions you may still have and to go through the next steps in the booking process.

You don’t have to worry about costs. Student.com does not charge you anything for this service: you’ll only need to pay the rent to your chosen landlord.

What are the different room types you offer?

Currently we offer two different types of rooms in Bournemouth:

In a Private Room you have a private bedroom just for yourself. Depending on the property, your bathroom may be either private or shared. In Bournemouth you’ll typically get a private bathroom as well. Other facilities are shared with other students.

In an Entire Place, you get a fully self-contained studio apartment. You’ll have your own bedroom, bathroom and typically a small kitchenette for cooking meals. No need to share with anyone!

Please note that all the properties we list won’t necessarily offer all three types of accommodation.

Can you arrange a viewing for me?

Many of the properties we list have an excellent array of photos and videos on the property pages. This will help you get a good idea of what your new home will look like even if you won’t be able to see it for yourself first.

If you’d prefer to personally see a place before booking and can get to Bournemouth before your move-in date, we can also arrange a viewing for you. Just give us a call and one of our booking consultants will set it up for you.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. In most cases landlords of private student flats or purpose-built student accommodations (PBSAs) require you to pay a deposit in order to secure your booking.

How do I pay my rent?

The rent is paid directly to the landlord. You don’t have to pay anything to Student.com.

Are the apartments fully furnished?

Most of the apartments we list in Bournemouth are rented fully furnished. This is not always the case though, so make sure to check on the property page if the place you’re looking to book is rented furnished or not.
