A pioneer of adult education since the 19th century, Birkbeck is a constituent college of the University of London. The majority of its classes take place in the evening though full-time courses are available. Birkbeck’s main campus is in Bloomsbury with one department even taking up residence in famous author, Virginia Woolf’s, former home. The university also has east London links with a campus in Stratford. Student accommodation in Bloomsbury, Camden and Kings Cross is closest.
