University of Chester
Based in historic Chester in the north-west of England, this was the UK’s first purpose-built teacher training college
Despite a long-lasting affiliation to the University of Liverpool, the university has awarded its own degrees since 2005. It has five campuses in and around Chester - main Parkgate Road Campus (with the original College building from 1842), the Kingsway Buildings, Riverside Campus, Queen’s Park Campus, and the new Thornton Science Park, outside the city. There’s also a campus in nearby Warrington.
