With UCLA just three minutes’ walk away, getting to class couldn’t be easier. After your lectures, make the most of your assigned parking space and explore farther afield. Drive to the Staples Center in 30 minutes to catch an LA Lakers pro basketball game, or to the Avenue of the Stars in 15 to take photos with your favorite celebrities’ plaques.
Living so close to campus means you can come home between classes. After an early morning lecture, ride the elevator to your apartment, brew a cup of coffee in the kitchen and sit down to eat. Flip on the air-conditioning as the day heats up, before curling up on the sofa to finish your assignments ready for your afternoon classes.
At the end of the day, unwind in front of your favorite cable TV shows, or catch up with your flatmates on your sunny patio. Kelton Plaza’s social central courtyard is another popular hangout spot, but in the evenings the rooftop spa is the place to be. Stock up on ingredients at the Whole Foods down the road, then get grilling out by the hot tub while admiring the spectacular views of LA.
If you feel like dining out, Westwood Village is full of great places to eat. Hop in the shower in your private bathroom, then pick a fresh outfit from your clean laundry pile. Take a 10-minute bus ride to Napa Valley Grille to taste authentic Californian flavors, or walk 15 minutes to satisfy your sweet tooth with a dessert from ice cream parlour Diddy Riese.
