On sunny days you can start your day with a 15-minute walk to James Madison University. There’s a bus stop outside your door that’ll take you to class in around 10 minutes, which is great if you need to get to the far side of campus in a hurry. You can always hop on your bike and cycle to campus in five minutes if you don’t want to take your car. This bike-friendly city is a pleasure to explore with plenty of connecting trails and paths.
If you have been out exploring the valley by car, return home and use the parking facility. Walk along the path through landscaped gardens and climb the stairs to the patio leading to your front door. At The Grand Duke, you can choose from several one-bedroom apartments and have that little extra privacy, or share with friends in a three-bedroom home.
Use the kitchen to make yourself dinner or a hot drink. There are plenty of cabinets to store your groceries and a spacious worktop where you can prepare your meals. Doing your laundry won’t take up too much of your time either, as there’s a laundry facility in the community. Utilities like water are also included in your rent.
Your home will be furnished, so all you’ll have to do is move in, unpack your belongings and get on with settling into student life in Harrisonburg. Study at the desk in your bedroom, or walk over to the university and work in the library. After class, return home and relax in your lounge, stretch out on the sofa to read a book or phone a friend back home.
