London
One of the world’s leading universities, Imperial College is in South Kensington among some of London’s finest museums.
Specialising in medicine, science and technology, the beginnings of Imperial College can be traced back to the establishment in 1851 of an area in South Kensington devoted to culture and education by Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. Notable neighbours include the Natural History Museum, the Royal Albert Hall and the Science Museum, among others. Look for student housing in Chelsea, Marylebone and Hammersmith for the shortest commutes but the Piccadilly line also makes Islington a convenient choice.
