Wake up in your studio at 5445 Ingleside Ave and head to the exercise room to get your day off to an active start. Freshen up in the shared or private bathroom and meet your neighbors for breakfast in the large community kitchen. Grab your bike from the bike storage and cycle to class at the University of Chicago, which will take around five minutes, or walk there in 15 minutes. If you’re heading to the Illinois Institute of Technology, it’s a 14-minute drive, 20-minute cycle or 35-minute bus ride to class.
When you get back home, treat yourself to a snack from the vending machines and head to the study room to get on with your next college assignment. Alternatively, grab a space in the computer lab, where you can also print off your notes.
Sit out in the courtyard when you need some fresh air, or head out to meet your friends for a drink at nearby Woodlawn Tap. If it’s cold out, stay in and hang out with your friends in the game or television rooms, heading to the community kitchen when you get hungry. For a tasty meal out with your friends, make the short walk to East 53rd Street for dinner at The Sit Down Cafe and Sushi Bar. Your utilities and internet access are included in your rent to keep your student budget simple, and the building stays open for school breaks. That means you’ll have everything you need for a fun student life in Chicago.
