Live on campus at University of Iowa and feel the energy of a vast and bustling campus. Grab coffee or a sandwich from one of the cafés and restaurants dotted about campus, like Java House Mormon Trek. Drive Downtown in around 10 minutes’ to meet up with friends for lunch or spend an afternoon hanging out in the café of the Prairie Lights bookstore. You can connect easily with the Interstate 80 so getting out of town and exploring the surrounding countryside is easy.
Come home, park in your car space or store your bike on the bicycle racks, then walk along a path between the lawns in front of your home. Unwind in your apartment watching Cable on the TV in your lounge, either on your own if you’ve chosen a one-bed, or with your housemate if you’re sharing a two-bed apartment. You’ll always be comfortable with heating and air-conditioning to keep the temperature just right. Make a snack in the kitchen, letting the dishwasher take care of your dirty dishes while you get on with the study. There’s internet included in your rent so you can do some research or Skype your family without worrying about the bills.
Get to know your fellow students with barbecues and picnics at the outdoor grill area. Stay on top of your fitness with gym workouts in the fitness room and you’ll be in tip-top shape for cycling along the trails or hiking in the surrounding woodlands. Wash your muddy gear in the laundry room and then use the conference and study area to get on with your assignments.
