With its picturesque buildings and green spaces, Auburn University has been praised for its beautiful surroundings. It was first established in 1856 under the name of East Alabama Male College, but got its current name in 1960. Now, Auburn University hosts around 25,000 students and counts Apple CEO Tim Cook and Wikipedia co-founder Jimmy Wales among its alumni.
