Student.com Society Programme: University of Edinburgh Nigerian Society

We spoke to the University of Edinburgh’s Nigerian Society to find out all about it, what they get up to, and what life is like as a society member.

The University of Edinburgh’s Nigerian Society is part of the Student.com Societies programme, which supports student societies and helps students find their student accommodation.

So tell us about the society…

The University of Edinburgh’s Nigerian Society is all about community and culture. It has been running for one year now and has a close-knit community of 45 members.

If you had to describe the society in three words, what would they be and why?

Challenge – as a new society we are always challenging ourselves to do better. Most of the events we plan take time, dedication and it’s always a challenge, but we are always happy to see them through and the results are amazing and worth it.

Community – the society creates a space for people from different backgrounds to gather, socialise and learn from each other.

Innovative – we are always on the hunt for new, exciting events to plan for our members.

How often and what type of social events does the society host?
