Best UK Universities for International Students 2017

Earlier this month, Whatuni revealed the 2017 winners of their annual Student Choice Awards. The University of Exeter came out on top of 49 institutions for being the best UK university for international students.

Higher education in the UK continues to attract international students from all corners of the globe. Almost every UK institution hosts international students and the vast majority have great reputations for the support they provide.

In the Student Choice Awards 2017, the University of Exeter was praised for hosting students from more than 140 countries and for having lecturers representing 50 different nationalities. Additionally, the award announcement calls out Exeter’s “vibrant global community” and highlights how Exeter is in a good position to continue to support international students despite the current political climate in the UK. In second place this year is Aberystwyth University, which jumped an impressive 26 places from its 2016 ranking. Aberystwyth stood out for the support it provides for international students before they start their courses. The university offers summer and pre-sessional courses for international students keen to immerse themselves before fresher’s week. After starting their courses, international students also have access to visa, immigration, language, study and personal tutor support.
