If you’re the adventurous type, New Zealand could well be for you. But be warned: after studying here, your life will never be quite the same again!
1. Not waking up to the greatest scenery on planet Earth anymore will be a bit of a downer…
2. Stepping into a park and not seeing trees like this will be…hmm, a bit depressing
3. Overall, scenery will now always be lacking magic
4. Because in New Zealand, there was a wow, or usually a WOW, around every corner
5. WOW…
6. WOW…
7. WOW!
8. Road trips will lack a certain something…
9. The grass, wherever you go, will NEVER be greener
10. And the place names? Well, they’ll seem a little simple and dull in comparison
11. The ride to class won’t be as life-affirming
12. Or quite so entertaining…
13. And even public transport will seem lacking
14. After class, you can forget about heading here
15. Forget about making new furry flippered friends
16. And forget about jumping in a kayak for a paddle
17. Zooming down a luge track with the most stunning views will no longer be an option, sadly
18. And trails like these? Nope…
19. In fact, your outdoor activities will seem so tame
20. And walks in the park will lack a certain thrill
21. They’ll be less… ‘out of this world’
22. And you’ll miss all the strange, wonderful, but most importantly NON-DANGEROUS creatures
23. In fact, the most deadly animal was probably this little guy
24. And he’s really only a danger to the paintwork on your car
25. Your food will seem less fresh
26. And the burgers? They’ll never quite cut it again…
27. You’ll forever miss the legendary chocolate fish
28. Washed down with a nice glass of L&P
29. At one of the many waterfront hangouts
30. A trendy spot on Wellington’s Cuba Street
31. Or a café in laid-back Christchurch
32. (Where there’s some of the best architecture around)
33. From now on your sports teams will seem a bit boring – especially when greeting the opposition
34. You’ll never again get to enjoy facial expressions like these at cultural events
35. In fact, you’ll miss having incredible indigenous culture bursting out all around you
36. And people will seem less friendly and down-to-earth
37. You won’t even care that New Zealanders don’t really live here like in The Lord of the Rings
38. You’ll just want to go back to those two magical islands
39. But that’s the end of our adventures…for now
