Live in the heart of Kyoto at Arukadia Seki, and spend your weekends exploring ancient temples, intriguing museums and the historic Gion district
From your new home at Arukadia Seki, you can walk to Kyoto Women’s University in 17 minutes, or jump on a bus that will take you to Kyoto University Yoshida campus in half an hour. Your closest subway station is a short stroll away, and from there you can head to the Kyoto Institute of Technology in 30 minutes or Kyoto University Uji campus in 37 minutes. Alternatively, you can grab your bike from the storage racks and ride to class.
At Arukadia Seki, the best of this city really is close at hand. Walk 15 minutes north to watch a traditional kabuki performance at the celebrated Minami-za theatre. Step into the colourful world of manga comics at the Kyoto International Manga Museum, or cycle east for a breathtaking view of the cherry blossom trees from Kiyomizu-dera, one of the famous Buddhist temples in Kyoto. On your way back, stop by Fresco supermarket to pick up your supplies for dinner.
Come home to your spacious studio at Arukadia Seki, turn on the air conditioning, kick your shoes off and relax. Wander through to the separate kitchen and fix yourself a snack on the gas stove using ingredients from your fridge and pantry. Then sit back and watch TV as you enjoy your meal. Later, connect to the optional internet to finish your assignments, or to Skype friends and family back home. Throw a load of washing into the communal laundry, then hang your clean clothes back in your wardrobe. Finish the day with a long, hot shower in your private bathroom before sinking into your comfortable bed for the night.
