The area of the Roman Quadrilateral where the apartment is located is the true historic center of Turin: elegant, lively, full of restaurants, wine bars, small shops, old cafes. A lively, cheerful, safe neighborhood: a convenient starting point for visiting the most important museums of the city. A stone's throw from the Duomo and the art gallery, the MAO (Museum of Oriental Art) and the Museo della Sindone, from Piazza Castello (with the Palazzo Reale, the Galleria Sabauda, Palazzo Madama). A 10-minute walk from the Museo del Cinema (Mole Antonelliana) and the Egyptian Museum. In Piazza della Consolata there is the historic café "Al Bicerin", where the famous coffee with chocolate and cream was invented, the symbolic drink of Turin.
A must is a tour of the noisy and colorful food market of Porta Palazzo (every morning and Saturday all day), and of Balon, the city's historic flea market, the "rags market" (since 1856, every Saturday, in the streets that go from Piazza della Repubblica down to the Dora). In the same streets, the second Sunday of each month then, from 8 to sunset, 250 stalls, shops, bars and restaurants give life to the Gran Balon, for 28 years the minor antiques market.
If you arrive by PLANE: in front of the arrivals of the Caselle airport, the SADEM shuttle leaves every 15 minutes and stops at the Porta Nuova FS station (Corso Vittorio Emanuele II No. 57 / A) and Porta Susa FS (Corso Bolzano) exit D station).
