The flat is located in the historic centre, between Piazza S Croce and Piazza della Signoria, opposite the historic Teatro Verdi. Inside the palace's courtyard and garden, what were once stables and haylofts were transformed over time into commercial facilities most recently a bakery until the architect Agnese Mazzei renovated the flat on the first floor in the 1980s, playing on the heights with staircases and large skylights. The research into the materials used such as the parquet created from old planks of a disused ship or the kitchen with the oak wood of old wine barrels and the way of living the space between the classic and the industrial open space, made the flat a lived-in and warm place.
