If you love yourself and your belongings: DO NOT LIVE HERE. I am writing this review now that i have moved out. Two years here, once in 2021 and again in 2025. The property has gone to crap. They will charge you fees for anything and everything btw. I tried to pay rent via echeck and, something must’ve gone wrong on their end bc it didn’t go through; eviction notice literally the next morning and tons of fees not listed on the lease. They are money hungry. Don’t expect to get that deposit back either! Things that were already broken before you moved in? you’re paying for them when you leave and maintanence sure won’t fix them for you while you’re there. My boyfriend went up to the office to try and talk it out and they kept giving him excuses and just kept rubbing it in that if we don’t pay they’ll send it to collections. They don’t care about you. Beware that the gates never close and the inner pool gates DONT lock. There were several instances of theft and cars getting broken into. My bike got stolen that was chained to my balcony. Management did nothing. Also, they go around asking for 5 star reviews, so don’t believe any of those.

Me and my cousin have lived here for a month and a half already and we’ve had an amazing experience with the Bruin since we toured the apartment! It’s a great environment and the manager Mrs.Christi makes everything run smoothly! She is amazing and really cares for the community! I highly recommend

If you’re looking for a smooth moving experience and supportive staff definitely check out this apartment community. Staff is pleasant and professional. Ground are kept clean considering it’s close to campus! Apon move in apartment was very clean. Property manager is very quick with work orders and resident request. This has honestly been a great experience so far and I’m sure it will continue.

Ive been staying here since March, around the time the management changed. I have had mostly pleasant experiences with the maintenance team (only negative being the lack of work-scheduling in order to give prior notice of arrival), and always pleasant with the office ladies. The management has been lenient with financial hardship, they are willing to communicate when needed. In addition the location is amazing, my unit looks pretty nice (aside from usual blemishes that you can expect from an older building such as this one.) The neighbors are mostly respectful, aside from the occasional repeated honking at early hours (assuming its someone getting picked up). Anyways, overall I would recommend The Bruin above options like The Brazos Park Apartments, and honestly any of the other surrounding options.

Although communication with the property manager and staff has improved, such as answering emails and responding to work orders, this apartment complex is far from perfect. The old pipes caused the sewer to back up into my tub and toilet periodically, which sometimes ended up on the floor. I’m told the apartment isn’t responsible for the mess, and I’m left cleaning up the mess time after time. In addition, there is only one water shut-off valve, so whenever they need to work on the pipes for one apartment - which feels like multiple times a month - they have to shut off the water to the entire building. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment complex.
