Pool has been broken for months with no fix and fire alarm will wake you up at 6am at least once a month and go off for an hour. Dirty hallways and very poor management. U Pointe is so much better and cleaner.

I have lived at the view for a little over 2 years now. All I can say is I wished I choose somewhere else to live. I'll be going into my senior year now so I'm just going to tough it out. But this will probably be the biggest regret of my college experience. Most of my friends have already left the view. The view started off pretty decent but has just declined and I have a ton of issues with them. First of all there back end system sucks. They are always losing track of accounts and payment history and just stuff they should be on top of. The staff is friendly but its a burden to get stuff done. As for the more recent issues however there has been at least 4 or 5 times where the fire alarm goes off at 3-4am. Which is super inconvenient especially with early classes to wake up for. They can say that the problems are fixed or that it won't happen again. But it is already happened 5 times, and the response time is always lacking, so I guess we will see. Another issue is that the power has gone out a bunch, which seems to be just this building and not a local issue. On top of that the pool has been closed for almost 6 months. Pools need maintenance and it seems to just be neglected. We couldn't even use the hot tub all winter while it was actually cold enough to enjoy it. Like we pay for those features and its been a long time with out them with no communication. Also the parking garage is very sub optimal. It is just a really tight space and people fly up and down, every corner you turn you almost hit someone. I've seen it happen. Also they tried to tow me without warning recently, which I guess they can do, but every time someone parks in my spot and I complain they always send out a notice first. And I got nothing. Doesn't seem right. Another garage issue is the security, half the time the gate is just left open for anyone to come in. And in addition to that, there are only cameras at the one entrance and the rest of the garage is just blind. So if anything happens away from the entrance there is just no way to see it. And that security issue goes throughout the whole building. The new management here has reduced there office hours and has decided just to leave the front door unlocked at all times. So anyone can walk in at any hour of the night. And we used to have a security guy, but with this new management he is no longer around. And I don't think he was replaced. One last thing is that with the reduced office hours and not being opened on weekends, it is really hard to get packages delivered. Since they can only be delivered when the office is open my packages get delayed pretty frequently since they show up when the office is closed. The only good thing I can say about the view is that the maintenance is very quick and responsive. However that should kind of be expected. And the rent rates got lowered finally which I guess makes living here seem a little more fair. But between all these little issues I can't recommend living here, and I wish I didn't

Maintenance team is super quick and efficient. Very sweet new management. Started hiring people to clean the lobby and have genuinely seen an improvement with this new team. The only reason I can’t give it full stars is because the carpet in the hallways are not the cleanest and think the dirt and grime that has accumulated over the years makes it a little smelly. While not in my room, it’s the first thing I come home to.

I would not recommend renting at the view on 10th. My main issue has been my inability to sleep at night due to the excessive noise from my neighbors above me. For the entire semester I have been getting less than eight hours of sleep at night. The walls are extremely thin which makes it hard to sleep and function. I’m constantly stressed out from the noise and can hear every single footstep, conversation and sound they make above me. The first five weeks of the semester were absolute hell for me because they constantly had parties and had people over until the early morning and I could hear every conversation they made. It’s been extremely difficult to function and I feel extremely uncomfortable because I never feel truly alone. When I tried to resolve this issue with the View on 10th staff they just told me to call the police and were unwilling to handle the situation or mediate it on my behalf. They refused to work with me. Another issue I have ran into is the odd times that the fire alarm will go off at 4-5 am in the morning and force everyone out randomly. It has happened twice this semester and the view on 10th staff has not taken the extra precautions to avoid this or fix this problem. Since no one was willing to fix this problem, I was the only person to call someone to help fix this issue. The View on 10th staff are kind and polite but very unhelpful and it often takes them an excessive amount of time to fix a problem in the apartment. Also, there was also two instances where there was a complete blackout in the apartment which made it hard for me to complete my schoolwork because I had no WiFi and lasted almost the entire day. Overall, my experience with the View on 10th has been less than satisfactory and very disappointing. It has been frustrating having to deal with the excessive sounds during the night which have caused me to have severe sleep depression during the day and the sound coming from the street from my window, the lack of help when it comes to staff and random issues with the building. I would not recommend renting here but if you enjoy cheap prices, working amenities and a simple apartment set up while putting up with excessive noise, blackouts and random fire alarms then you probably wouldn’t mind renting here. For me personally, I prefer quiet and I look forward to returning home where I can get my eight hours of sleep and where I’m not forced to living off of four or five hours of sleep a night.

I do not recommend. The workers are nice but the kitchen spaces are not made for the amount of people living in the unit, for 4 people. The shower rods are rusted. They just let us know we cannot get packages delivered on weekends. It’s not the worst but things could be a lot better compared to park place or ursa if your in the market for student living.
