The apartments are quite and safe; however, the carpet in my place should have been replaced. I forked out plenty of deposit money that would have paid for new carpet b4 I moved in. The management company at that time had not even addressed my concerns or had their maintenance person look at my apt until the day I was moving in! They had to scram to even get my locks changed. Personally, I feel the owners rather than the property management are the issue with updating the place. They won't allow personal decor in the common areas, but the stuff there looks like it was old in the 80's. People have to buy their own chairs to sit in the courtyard and tenants are responsible for watering and trying to have a really beautiful courtyard area. Painters just slap new paint over years of other paint and many residents are incapable of noticing. The rent is reasonable and the main reason most folks are there. My apartment was not cleaned well when I moved in, and the smaller bedroom has a lot of moisture odor when the weather is cooler. I was accustomed to better conditions before moving there. All in all, I think that just because folks get older and live on fixed incomes doesn't mean they should not have a nice, updated and affordable place to live.
