I loved living at Windmill Townhomes during college and appreciate it even more now that I’ve spent several years in a typical San Antonio apartment. I lived at Windmill from August 2013 to July 2018—through two degrees—and it really felt like home. The location is perfect: close to campus but on a quiet street. The floorplans are great—no one above or below you—and the units are homey without feeling small. For the age of the complex, everything was well-maintained, and maintenance was always quick and reliable. What I also appreciated (and really miss now) is that the landlord, Mike, didn’t tack on extra fees or inflate rent for “amenities” no one actually uses. There’s no gym, pool, or dog park—just a solid, comfortable place to live without the nonsense. I’d go back in a heartbeat if I could find something like it again. Also, the community cats are so friendly, and my cat looooved seeing them through the glass doors! If you feed them and see one without an ear tip, please get it TNR’d. (Sorry, Mike—I was feeding the cats, but at least I made sure they couldn’t populate further?)

I loved staying here! It is a good price for the location and space. Took only 15 minutes to walk to campus. Anytime there was any issues, they would fix it the next day! Loved seeing all the deer in our backyard. Did not feel like I was staying in a student housing area or anything. Felt like a safe area to take walks.

Great place to live highly recommend! Maintenance is quick, helpful, and responsive and the owner is very kind and communicative. The apartment itself is a great location, close to campus but still quiet, secluded, and close to nature. I love it and have already renewed for a second year!

Mike and the maintenance team are all really nice and helpful, no annoyingly loud neighbors or party's. You can have a little garden if your unit has the space and you talk to Mike first. I really like it here.

Lived here 2 years with my girlfriend, sadly about to be moving to another town and will have to be moving out, but if I could have I would have stayed here even longer. This place is great and Micheal (the owner/ property manager) is a great guy. If you are looking for a nice and quiet place to stay that's close to campus, this has got to be the best spot.
