Being in tower is just as bad as it looks. Harris County Jail. It is SO dirty in the dorm rooms you wouldn’t think they did basic cleaning. I’ve gotten pink eye from the 3-4 weeks I’ve been here. My roommates are sick. To add on, the floor is disgusting and STAINED, mold everywhere including the bathroom, dust is really bad. Rooms and walls are thin, toilet is very loud, no shower space, no walking space, elevator slow or broke. The only reason it’s gets a 1 star is because of the friendly staff and RA’s.

The rooms are fairly large with two beds and a shared bathroom with the neighbouring room. There is a kitchen on the second floor with a fridge and a stove, but you have to check out cooking equipment from the front desk or bring your own. There is AC but it will randomly be cranked up, making the rooms freezing. The beds are not comfortable at all.

Looks like this will be a good place to stay as a first choice for a upcoming freshman next Fall! Big laundromat, shared restrooms, but forces students to communicate and organize their lives together. They have required study time!!

really didnt like living here after being in a traditional dorm. the rooms are bigger yeah but sharing a single bathroom between four people? not a good idea. the elevators are broken on and off and it takes days to repair them, the learning communities always host very loud and long events in the study room so i get run out while trying to do my homework or while studying for tests. the windows are barely as big as my head and its very claustrophobic so if youre prone to depression i REALLY wouldn't recommend living here because you feel like youre in a prison. the walls are paper thin too, and you can hear people through the vents so its always pretty noisy. and you have to go up a very steep hill to get to the building from most angles. parking isn't bad if you have a green pass, but its not central to any campus location other than the dining hall right next door. id recommend a traditional dorm over anything, much less fighting over bathrooms, quieter, and the people are nicer in smaller dorms. not to mention there's actual sunlight that can get into your room.
