I love this place, there are a few issues here and there but way better compared to other apartments I’ve lived at. Maintenance comes immediately it’s so refreshing.

Disclaimer: I lived here when the building was not owned by the school. But I would say DO NOT LIVE HERE AND DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO LIVE HERE!!!! You can hear EVERYTHING your upstairs neighbors are doing, I basically lived in the library because I couldn't stand all the noise above me. We also had a serious mold issue in our apartment for months and the complex refused to do anything about it. My dad wrote the apartment an email saying that he would go to the local news and show them the mold in our apartment, and only then did the apartment "take care: of the mold problem, and by "take care" of the mold problem i mean they cut a giant whole in our wall and left that whole in our wall for several months. (This doesn't get rid of mold btw, just the appearance of mold)

If you want to be productive at school or live somewhere nice, DO NOT MOVE HERE. Not at all as advertised, when I moved in it was completely dirty and most things were damaged. The dumpsters get slammed around extremely loud right outside my balcony at all hours of the night and early morning (midnight - 8 am every weekday). Every time I have tried to get something done about this noise, nobody on staff seems to care. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE. If I could give ZERO stars, I would.

Having lived here for about 2 years, I feel qualified enough to share an honest review of these apartments. Although the location is fantastic, room sizes are relatively big, and amenities are great, I cannot recommend these apartments to anyone in their current state. The major issues with the apartments are its infestation of roaches, gnats, and spiders, the flooding/pipe issues, and the general cleanliness of the building. Despite my roommate and I keeping our apartment neat and clean, we’ve had issues with roaches and gnats since move in, and are not alone in that issue. For the first semester it was difficult to eat without having gnats in the food, even after calling exterminators. Additionally, the fridge is constantly filled with dead gnats despite being cleaned out. I even found a live roach in my bed after just having put clean sheets on, likely from the vents. The hallways are often dirty and full of bugs. And despite never having dealt with this myself, many other residents that I have spoken to have had issues with pipes breaking and flooding. Twice now has that same thing occurred in the gym as well. That being said, the location is amazing, and the rooms are fairly large. The gyms accessibly is also a draw, and the study room is really nice. The maintenance crews have been very quick to help thus far, and since the apartments are now owned by the school, I expect things might improve over the years. If you are someone who has issues with bugs, or doesn’t like things being dirty/smelly, and wants consistently functioning appliances, I’d consider other alternatives. But other than those issues, these apartments are still better than some of the other options in the area for the price, just be aware that the issues I listed are very widespread.

Under any circumstances, DO NOT LIVE HERE. On our move-in day, the apartment had dead roaches in it in addition to a bunch of gnats and water damage. Within the first week, our a/c started leaking pungent-smelling water which leaked all over our common area (which we assume the previous water damage was from it.) We called maintenance, which did not show up until the next day. What was their solution? Just adding a bucket to catch the water. We have not even lived in our unit for over a month. We have had to call maintenance and the front office over 20 times. Our a/c is still leaking and once it had overflowed from the kitchen to the living room, Vistas had lied to us. The nice maintenance man who unclogged our a/c pipe told us that he’s not sure if the problem was fixed and so the front office would call the supervisor to diagnose the problem. They closed our maintenance request and claimed that the problem was already fixed. A few days later, our a/c completely shut down. Vistas left us close to a WEEK without working a/c until I myself fixed it. Maintenance never came to even look at it. So take your pick, live with working a/c but with a musty moldy smelly unit or no leaking water but being cooped up in an underground unit in 82 degrees with it being over 100+ degrees outside. Vistas also has a cockroach problem too, so do not sign here if you want to wake up to roaches looking at you and the emergency overnight call center deeming leaking hazardous mysterious water “not an emergency”. They take days to come unless your parents call them because they only care about collecting your rent money.
