🚨 If You Value Peace and Autonomy, Read This, Especially Pet Owners 🐶 This update was somewhere between 1/22/26 and 1/27/26 So far, I haven’t seen any roaches, which is a huge plus. Maintenance has also been quick to respond to work orders, and I appreciate that. I signed the lease but hadn’t officially moved in yet at this time since I still had a few personal matters to take care of. The price felt reasonable for the area, and the apartment was starting to come together little by little. It was still a work in progress, but overall I was hopeful at that point. Update: 2/18/2026 If you value peace in your own home, please read this before signing. Since taking possession of the unit (move-in date 1/22), the experience has felt stressful in ways I did not expect. Within hours of getting the keys, I noticed a strong pet urine odor in the carpet. My ESA dog was still in boarding and had not even stepped foot in the apartment yet. Despite that, it was suggested the smell could have been caused by my dog. That set the tone early. The next day, I submitted a work order for cooling issues. Since January 23rd, the HVAC has had intermittent problems. At one point the thermostat reached 87°F while set to 68°F. Maintenance explained there may be a circuit-related issue and temporarily turned off the heater to prevent the system from switching between heat and A/C. The A/C is currently cooling, but the heater remains disabled as part of that temporary fix. I was also told dirty coils may be restricting airflow and would need cleaning on a follow-up visit. While it works right now, it hasn’t felt fully resolved. At one point, breaker interference or possible tampering was mentioned. I want to be clear: neither I nor any guest has touched or tampered with the system. The cooling issues were documented before those suggestions were made. The most stressful part has honestly been the pet enforcement. The Animal Addendum gives management the ability, in their “sole discretion,” to require permanent removal of a pet if they determine it disturbed someone. That’s a heavy clause when you have a dog you love. For example, my ESA briefly reacted to a passing fire truck while supervised on the balcony. It lasted under a minute. He always has access to the interior and is not continuously barking. Still, it was treated as a disturbance. I even have indoor camera footage documenting the length and frequency. No complaints from neighbors and broad daylight, nothing after quiet hours Another concern was my dog lounging on the balcony while I was inside but visibly supervising. Because management could not physically see me outside with him at that moment, it became an issue. Living somewhere where normal, occasional dog behavior can escalate into warnings about removal does not feel comfortable. It feels like constantly worrying that one small moment could turn into something bigger. Between the early move-in issues, the HVAC concerns, and the strict and subjective pet enforcement, the overall experience has felt more tense than peaceful. I am unable to terminate my lease at this time, but I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision especially if you have pets and want to feel at ease in your own space. Update: 2/20/2026 They agreed to mutual lease termination on good terms due my experience with the company, I am grateful and looking forward to a new beginning. Yay 🎉

I was seriously considering moving into Westwood Terrace because my sister spoke so highly of it. She was excited for me to see the property and helped schedule a self guided tour by using her ID so I could walk through the one bedroom layout. I personally did not schedule the tour myself. She did it because she genuinely wanted me to consider moving there. I actually loved the location and the setup of the one bedroom for my son and me. It felt like it could have been a great fit. However, the very next day, my sister received an email accusing her of abusing the self guided tour process. That felt uncomfortable and confusing, especially since she was simply helping a potential renter view the property. It did not sit right with me that someone encouraging new tenants would be treated that way. Since then, she has been experiening ongoing issues with leasing management and concerns in her unit. It is really disappointing because I liked the property itself, but seeing what she is going through has made me decide not to move forward. No one should feel uneasy or unwelcome in a place they are paying to call home. I truly hope things improve for current residents.

Everyone wants a place to call home, and everyone wants to feel safe and secure. My family and I have been living here for about a decade now. We have seen many things and many people leave as expected in a community. But one thing is for sure, we are comfortable. Some of our neighbors have been here longer than we have, and we have come to know them and have seen their families grow like ours. No one is perfect, and in a time of uncertainty, being able to call a place like this home and being comfortable is no easy feat for many. When we reach those gates to come in, a sigh of relief passes through, a feeling similar to the expression of, "we made it." I know the experience is different for everyone, but this subjective post is simply that and without bias. Communication is key, if ever you run into an issue with anything on property or unit, talk with property management, they honestly do their best to help, as human beings, we learn from each other, together we can do great things. So, if you are looking for a place to start your roots or something different, then start here. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself, and by the way, if you see us and we smile or say hi, just say hi back, we're not bad people. My wife works with the Air Force and I am a behavior and communications analyst. Have a great day and may you find what you seek.

Pretty good place to live but the “valet trash” company they use is so useless, they regularly skip my floor even when our trash is well within the guidelines and any “larger” trash gets taken out of the can and just left on the floor. Again solid place to live but they MUST get a new company. “Ally Waste” and every employee I’ve had the displeasure of encountering in my 3 years of living here are not only rude but rarely even do their job. 4/5 for the actual apartment though.

I’ve really enjoyed living at Westwood Terrace. One of the main reasons I chose this community was the EV charging station, and it’s been a huge convenience for me with my Mustang Mach-E. Communication here is solid—they follow up quickly and keep you in the loop. The property is always clean and well-maintained, and I appreciate how responsive they are when something needs attention. Any repair requests I’ve had were handled within 24–48 hours, which is a big deal for me. Overall, it’s been a great place to call home. 👌🏽
