I lived 2 years while attending school and work. My first time ever out in the city. Just a small town girl. My experience was amazing. What made it more special too me was that my mom lived here in her young years attending collage also. She said it would be awesome and I’d meet so many new friends and feel like at was as home! She wasn’t lying, I met so many new friends & foreign exchange students. Learned new cultures and more! If you want a safe place for your young ones too learn the ropes of adjusting without you, I highly recommend The Villa Maria! It’s safe and we would check in and out so the Front office always new weather we were in our out! & would always give courtesy calls when we were out for the night that we wouldn’t be staying in our dorms! 🫶

A welcoming religious community with a special focus on providing a safe place to live for young women. There are many activities offered to the community i.e art and guitar classes. Spanish mass on Sundays at 3 p.m .

I lived in there for several months some years ago. The nuns are kind and clean the dorm every day. The rent includes the water and electricity so it is in a way all bills paid. The nuns also cook 2 meals a day for the residents except for Sunday which is just one meal. That dorm is the only place in the whole city that gives food to its residents and doesn't charge extra for it like most university dorms do. Villa Maria is a good place for single women to live in peace and in harmony with other people.
