Ventura Ridge

I am extremely disappointed with how this apartment complex handled a recent towing situation. My vehicle was towed after being parked in a maintenance-designated spot for less than 30 minutes. What makes this frustrating is that the tow was called at approximately 8:55 PM, and the maintenance garage in question appears to contain only appliances such as ovens, washers, and dryers. There was no communication to residents about the emergency, no warning placed on vehicles, and no opportunity given to move my car before incurring significant towing expenses. Residents should not be subjected to costly towing fees because of a lack of communication, especially when management acknowledges that notices are typically provided. Emergencies can happen, but basic courtesy and reasonable efforts to notify residents should still be expected. This experience left me feeling that resident convenience and fairness were not considered. What makes the situation more frustrating is that there was no urgency to fix a leak in my floors (water would seep out of the floors when I would shower) when I first moved in and yet they were quick to call a towing company within 30 minutes.

***** UPDATE: the response from this property is a total lie and they should be ashamed. I ABSOLUTELY had my ID, don’t try to cover up the truth. The internet was spotty and I was refused a tour/ (with an attitude) since my ID wouldn’t LOAD. Run the tapes. Not only did she not offer videos or pictures or ANY alternative to view the property (another lie you claim) she LITERALLY said YUP! when I said, “so you’re just gonna turn me away” when internet was spotty and your system wouldn’t work. WOW. Y’all are a real piece of work. Don’t reply with blatant lies.. ESPECIALLY when it was negative experience #2. Now #3 with your insane response.***** I’ve attempted to tour this property twice, two years apart… BOTH times I was met with the rudest most off putting front office staff that seem to be hateful no matter how nice you are. I don’t understand what their issue is. Lost total interest.

My family and I have lived here for going on for years now. We have looked at other places in the same area and have compared prices. Ventura Ridge prices have been very competitive with the location that is in this area. They also put their tenants first and every aspect and try to accommodate everybody as much as possible. In our opinion they go above and beyond to make us feel right at home.

I’m giving this one star based on my experience. I had about $5,000 worth of personal belongings stolen from the cars outside, and the situation was handled very poorly by property management. The security cameras around the property don’t seem to work, which creates a serious safety concern. What made things worse was the lack of response from the property manager. They never reached out to speak with us directly or show any real concern about what happened. There was no effort to investigate, no support offered, and no compensation or rent adjustment despite the severity of the situation. I do want to mention that the front desk staff are very kind, professional, and always willing to help. They were the only positive part of this experience. Overall, this place gives a false sense of security. I would strongly caution anyone considering living here to think twice.

I love living here. I have been here for 3 years and I will not leave unless I buy a house.
