Nova Lofts isn’t anything like you would expect affordable housing to be. The apartments are beautiful with granite countertops, subway tiles, hardwood laminate flooring, brand new appliances and on-trend cabinetry. After the pandemic, I needed to restart my career with a special needs adult kiddo at home. In my last apartment, the rent was continuing to go up, but nothing was changing. When my lease was up I felt that it was time to find something else, but my income was limited. I found Nova Lofts and after a thorough qualifying process my son and I were in! Klarissa and Dylan were infinitely patient with my circumstances regarding self-employment and a special needs kid. Once we got in we met the maintenance man, Gabriel. I was having issues with my stove and he came to troubleshoot it and ultimately decided to order me a new one. There was no run around. He just jumped right on it. With Gabe, my boyfriend and I really liked him and we became fast friends, which really makes this place feel like a community. He always makes sure to check on us and say hi and does a great job keeping the complex clean and running like a well-oiled machine. I’m so grateful for an affordable chance to get back on my feet, especially with everything going on in the world. I’ve already made friends with the neighbors above and below me. This was the fresh start I needed, and the staff here made it all possible. Thank you, Nova Lofts for giving us a chance in a well-located North Central San Antonio community.
