Morrison Apartments

Historical building in the heart of San Antonio Riverwalk. It has the old mail system still showing on the walls and the apartment we stayed in had what we believe to be laundry shoots or dumbwaiter doors that no longer open. The windows and ceilings were tall. Light poured in from the windows making it very cheery.

I was drawn to this property due to the ease of getting to the River Walk and the pictures seemed like this was a good property for the money. Oh how I was wrong. The listing stated that it slept 4 people. 1 queen bed and one sofa bed which I had no problem with. Once we were ready to turn in for the night we found that there were no linens provided for the sofa bed. In addition to no linens we found that the bed did not even pull out correctly. We contacted the host to see if we could get some help with getting linens and the bed. We were told by the Vacasa representative that we could go buy our own linens and be reimbursed. Also in response to the bed not functioning properly we were informed that they knew the head of the bed stayed at an incline and weren’t sure how to fix it. We gave up on getting these problems resolved and ended up putting the mattress on the floor and sleeping with one blanket that was found in a closet. In addition to the bed issue about half of the slats are missing from the verticals allowing the bright streetlights adjacent to the window to beam right into the room. The windows are thin and you can hear everything going on in the street below. I have gotten better sleep in a tent than this apartment. I contacted Vacasa after checking out to negotiate a refund of some sort due to the less than ideal stay. Initially we were told they would refund 50% which I was okay with. They then contacted me again and stated that they could only refund 25% which I found completely unacceptable. We negotiated on 30% and I got a measly $87 dollars back on a room that cost me over $350. There was not a single thing about this stay that came close to meeting expectations. The customer service is terrible and I will never rent anything that has Vacasa on it ever again. I do not recommend this rental, pay the extra money for a nice hotel where you can actually enjoy your stay.

We booked for Saturday night in the Riverwalk,( it’s on the river but very bad part of town a lot of homeless people and one lady was shooting up drugs..It was a good 2-3 blocks from anything close and had to walk through a very bad area, kinda of scary.So we get back to the room and a fold out couch was literally inverted and the middle leg was off the ground 3 inches. A lot of the blinds were missing so people could see in and light came right In. The sound was horrible from street sweepers to racing cars. So as we woke up to a marathon right outside at 6:30 this morning with clapping and women on the megaphone . I would not recommend this to anyone for over 300 a night.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Overnight garage Parking on S. Flores street is $5-10 a day (24 hr parking) depending on which day you stay. Super close to everything. Would recommend to anyone. Mexican place downstairs has an amazing breakfast!

Nice place with great views but I had to pay $20 for every 8 hours of parking while staying at AirBnb here. Idk how you’d get a parking pass but it didn’t come with our stay.
