Since Willow Bridge(new property management) took over, this place has gone downhill fast. Customer service is horrendous, it is impossible to contact the leasing office. There has been theft which has never happened during the previous management. The staircases reeks of pot despite a strict no-smoking policy and this new management has done absolutely nothing about it. Zero accountability, slow responses, and no enforcement of rules. This management has made this complex feel completely ghetto.

My husband and I have loved living here for the last 2 years! Everytime I had friends visit they always comment on how it feels like a hotel. The staff are super attentive and manager Joshua Baker is wonderful! The appliances in our apartment have served us well and are very new. I also liked our covered, gated parking and have never had a car break-in. Pretty quiet place to live overall. Management hosts nice events and free treats/wine nights for fun! We recently have moved and will miss our walks to our fav places Pure Barre, Bird Bakery, Merit coffee, Nowhere Bookstore, Cappy’s, Daily Bread and the McNay. We did have a few issues. Elevators not working (would take time to fix due to ordering parts) but staff were communicative to everyone via email/ text. There are no outlets to charge EVs in the garages (nearest supercharger is the Quarry). Our biggest issue were neighbors who seemed entitled and inappropriately complained about our dog barking during daytime hours while we were at work (by inappropriate I mean leaving several hateful anonymous notes on our door threatening to call the humane society, which was laughable at worst lol). We were friends with some of our neighbors though and otherwise consider this a dog-friendly apartment! TLDR: My husband and I lived in many apartments across the states, and by far this is the nicest place we have ever lived.

Have you ever woke up late on your day off, walked to the mailroom with a fresh cup of joe that you made yourself in the club room and realized how grand life is? Happens to me more than often here in my home. Truly! The customer service is beyond exceptional. Good afternoon, Have a great day sir, is the daily jargon from this great staff. Not only that, my issues are minimal; my light bulb in my ceiling went out. It was replaced by the time I got home from work. In all honesty, I feel accomplished when I come home. From the hard wood floors, to my gas stove and that little hook I hang my towels on next to my deep bathtub - I’m grateful that Magnolia Heights had everything I needed for my wife and I to live a comfortable and appreciative lifestyle. And it’s Peanut(pet-friendly) approved 🤩

Magnolia Heights is a beautiful residence in the heart of Alamo Heights. Josh, Marisa, Christian & Kandace are the most reliable office crew. The building is so beautiful, the amenities are well manicured and the units are just gorgeous! The wood floors, fire burning stove, ample storage, wine fridge and tall ceilings are just a few of my favorite features. There is constant communication from the staff, and many FUN events to meet fellow neighbors! We toured many different communities, but we knew Magnolia Heights would be our home for the time being.

New resident of two days, the move-in process was smooth. Jerrod was such a BIG help given that I moved across cities and needed a lot of extra help to understand the community. Now once I was in my apartment, I encountered too many issues I find unacceptable. The first issue - the team made me aware before I moved in which I appreciated. A wooden floor board was missing by my patio door and I was okay with them resolving that post move-in, so one item still pending. Second issue I found was that the right sink in the bathroom wouldn't drain, water was sitting in the sink. That's unacceptable. Third issue I found was that the stovetop and oven did not work, I pre-heated the oven on 10/25 to 400 degrees and in a span of 4 hours the oven only reached 300 degrees never advancing, no ignited flame coming from the stovetop. Very disappointing as I had just made groceries and wanted to eat inside, I was forced to order takeout and notify someone 10/26 which I did and that's when I received a replacement. Fourth issue is pertaining to how I woke up to two small puddles of water in my home from the rain due to missing seals at the patio door. Fifth issue is that the light switch at the patio did not work due to a missing bulb in the exterior lighting - unacceptable. Sixth issue is that the switch at the stovetop for the exhaust fan does not work and I was told that the fan needs to be ordered so that's now two pending items. Seventh issue is that the Internet box in the closet is not sealed around it and it reveals a space in the wall that shouldn't be, this has not been fixed yet I did input a service request and sent an email with an image for reference. Lastly, issue number 8 - there is an abnormally large gap between my patio and my apartment. This space is not visible in any other patio beneath me, above me nor beside me. I notified the maintenance team and I believe he took pictures to find a solution but that is now the third pending item I have to track and stay on top of. I'm writing this review because a thorough inspection was not conducted in my unit and it shows. Simple functions such as a light switch, a sink draining properly or that the stovetop did not work are all things that should have been toggled with in a thorough inspection. The unit showed Available Now online and that alarms me because so many functions and features just were not available upon move-in. I expect a better standard of quality from this property moving forward because we have a long 15 month term together. I expect rapid solutions on my pending items and less apologies. Thank you! 3/7 Update: I had to get the BBB & legal representation involved to get everything resolved in my unit, only took 4 months. lol wish I was joking, but it’s nothing luxury about this place. I walk my dog around the only sidewalk near & the trash dump has been on the sidewalk for 3 days. Nasty & weird. Overall, this property is significantly overpriced for the low quality of living & standards. I’ll never rent with Kairoi after this lease term again. Total regret 4/16: Back with reason #3000 why I regret moving into Magnolia Heights. The access to the building is all bluetooth through an app called Alta Open. Where I've parked for the last 6 months, the bluetooth access hasn't been working on this particular gate since 4/11, every other door works on the app except for the garage gate I use. Contacted the office Sat. 4/12 the lady doesn't know what to do to reset lol call back Monday, 4/15 the maintenance resets, still nothing. I contacted the app support 4/11 when the access first was denied they mentioned it's in my apartments court to reset something called the ACU. Magnolia Heights said they did, yet I still have no access. I've deleted the app, logged out, logged back in. I was told to just use the other garage - terrible terrible service. So now I'm between two responsible parties (Alta Open & Magnolia Heights) pointing fingers at each other meanwhile I still have no access. Never in my life have experienced such trash EVERYTHING that's labeled luxe
