Dont move here lol. Moved here from Fl and should've known from our awful experience moving in that this place was a red flag. Walk the grounds, theyre dirty. Half the equipment in gym doesnt work. They seem to have no interest in fixing this. They worry more about trashcan being out than their residence actual experience here. Manager is a joke lol. Their maintenance crew is kind, nothing bad to say about them. But the people in the office... idk. Should just save the trouble and apply somewhere else 🤷♀️

I'm not sure what all the negativity is about, but having my best friend and a couple of others living here for some time now and from their experiences, the front office staff has been as helpful as they can be. Every concern they have had has always been addressed in a timely manner. They love it here and would and do recommend it to all our friends. If I didn't have my own house and or was wanting to downsize, this is where I would go.

Do NOT try to get these apartments I do not recommend them whatsoever. There staff doesn’t make the effort to reach out. Got my truck stolen from here and the manager said i couldn’t see the cameras, only one who tried to help at least a lil was Carlos, everyone else doesn’t care only when it’s about them that’s when they care. Other vehicles have gotten stolen here and they don’t do nothing. I decided to leave myself without notice because the same way they don’t care about us why should we care about them. If you don’t want your vehicles to get stolen/ or if ur expecting good services, do not go here. Find somewhere else to rent out an apartment. Not trying to be a ahole but it’s the truth .

The front office does not at all know what they’re doing. There is no communication. When I initially signed my lease, Carlos told me I was not able to qualify for the A2 unit, and I told them I was fine with settling for the A1. However the day I was supposed to receive my keys, I was told I had no file for these apartments and after explaining my situation to Dave, he explained that they forgot to transfer my paperwork to the new unit. I had to wait one more day to receive my keys even though I expected to receive them that Monday. Tuesday I was able to finally receive my keys, I was told by a maintenance worker that my unit was not at all ready for me to move into despite being told it was ready. I had to wait ANOTHER day. Wednesday, when I walked into the apartment it was absolutely disgusting and a biohazard with dental tooth picks on the floor, urine all over the toilet seat, and an asparagus in the compartment under the oven. I sent very lengthy email explaining that this was unacceptable and I was deeply upset only to be ignored. Thursday I understood the no response, because it was thanksgiving but not we’re going on THREE days despite me forwarding my email to them constantly and no response or accountability for their actions. They tried to satisfy me with “Dillo credits” which is just store credits for their little connivence store and that I didn’t even receive yet. This is so far has been an incredibly disappointing experience with these apartments.

I moved to Laurel Canyon apartments in July 2020. When I moved in this place was wonderful. It was quiet, peaceful, tranquil and friendly. The property was well cared for and the leasing team took the time to remember your name. After the winter storm the value of the property just went down. Now I know there was a lot of damage from the storm and it took some time to repair things, but a year and a half later and the property looked worse than it did prior to the storm. The wood privacy fence behind behind bldg 16 all the way up to bldg 6 was falling down and random people as well as homeless people just started coming in breaking into cars and harassing the community. The property replaced the fence with the same cheap cardboard paper material they used the first time. The fence was not up a week and we got a little rain and the fence started rotting and bowing. Both pools were almost closed for 2 years because they were resurfacing them, but the property resurfaced the pools with the same cheap material that was originally there. It breaks off into the pool causing the water to look murky instead of crystal clear. So I spent most of my summer at Canyon Lake, the water was just better there and it's a lake. Whatever the previous pest control was spraying around the bldgs is not killing anything because if you walk near grass your will have black and red bugs jump on you. They have hired a new pest control service recently (like a few days ago) so I cannot speak to them. They got rid of all the dumpster and replaced with a trash compactor which cause them to get rid of one of the dog parts. For the first few months trash was everywhere and if you live near the compactor you could not open your windows for fresh air cuz all you smelled was death. Also we have new animal friends, such as racoons, skunks, possums and an increase of stray cats. I love animals but I don't want to be attacked or sprayed because I want to take my trash out. Also due to them getting rid of the one of the dog parks, the pet poop as increased SUBTANTIALLY!!! After it rains, certain parts of the property smell awful. The path way that you take to get to the large pool smells of urine all the time. Which is said because its such a beautiful area to sit and read a book or just enjoy a day outside. You aren't able to do that because of the smell. The number of cars being broken into have increased greatly sine 2020. It's almost like a game "who's car will it be this time and where on the property will it happen". Also the police are out at this property A LOT!! I have lived in worse apartments than these and a not so good side of town and you didn't see the cops called a fraction of the time they are here. There were murders happening at the place I lived at before. There have been some good things happen. The property does try to engage the residents with events. I think those have stopped because people weren't going. Also, if you sign up for auto-pay for your rent it can help improve your credit. They are updating the apartment units to a more modern look. We do have a courtesy officer that comes out, I'm not sure it is every night but they do come out. Also in my opinion the maintenance time is great. Unfortunately the good does not outweigh the bad for me which is why I have chosen not to stay. The standards and amenities just don't add up for what they are asking in rent.
