I lived there briefly, the reason I chose it was electronic gates. Within a week of moving in , I noticed the gate staying open, I inquired to management about it, informed it was scheduled to be looked at. Over the next month the gate was open more then not, I inquired several times with management, always told the same thing, scheduled to be fixed. The Second month, March 2024, my new truck broken into where I parked in the complex, laptop, other items taken, $1700 worth of things lost. Apartment on the 2nd floor, my sons room above one of the rented garages, no insulation in the floor, zero. Resident comes home from work 4pm, loud music 4-5 hours a day, weekends worse. My son went down and asked if music could possibly be turned down, he was laughed at and somewhat threatened. I spoke to the management regarding the situation. I was told well hes a 4 year resident. Okay so that gives him the right to disturb people? Enough for me I moved out, lease or no lease. Lease agreement breached, land lord failed to repair. So now the Alcove has sent to collections saying I owe $4200. Find somewhere safer and where management is honest & reasonable. My turn now, filing complaint against real estate license, BBB, State Attorney's office, small claims court

This is the best apartment complex I've rented from. The apartments themselves are fantastic. Management and staff are amazing and they always spend the time to make sure im taken care of. My fridge ened up losing power and they made sure to take care of it quickly, even offering me a place to store food while they got me a new fridge. Felicia Garza was especially helpful while getting my new place.

This was my very first apartment and it set the bar incredibly high for any future move. Coming from overseas, I thought securing a place before even landing would be one of the hardest parts of the transition. Instead, Felicia and Jessel made the process seamless. From giving me virtual tours to ensuring everything was perfect before I walked through the door, they went above and beyond. Their professionalism, attention to detail and genuine care turned what could have been stressful into an effortless experience. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better team.

⭐ If you’re looking for an apartment that truly feels like home, this is it! ⭐ Hands down the best apartment experience I’ve ever had! Even before move-in, Felicia and Jessel made my partner and me feel right at home. Since it’s a smaller community, you actually get to know the staff—and they genuinely care. The maintenance team is incredible: friendly, reliable, and fast. I always felt safe here, and the neighborhood behind the complex is perfect for a run or walk. Location couldn’t be better—close to Ft. Sam Houston (a huge time-saver during my grad program), plus minutes from Gold’s Gym, the Pearl, and downtown. The apartments themselves are spacious, cozy, and easy to settle into. I’d recommend The Alcove in a heartbeat—and if I ever move back to San Antonio, this is exactly where I’d want to live again.

I’ve lived at the Alcove at Alamo Heights for the last two years, and have loved being a part of such a great community. I PCSed from Japan in the middle of the pandemic, and had been searching for a quiet community in Alamo Heights. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood only minutes from a number of great museums and restaurants, Alcove at Alamo Heights units have huge walk-in closets, built-in computer desks, ample cabinets, granite top counters and kitchen islands, and private garages are also available for rent. I also love the security of having ADT and water leak sensors, which can be monitored via the Alarm app while you’re away. There’s a compact pool area with grill and a dog park and the school bus stops right outside the gate, and it’s convenient to Fort Sam, Randolph, and Alamo Heights ISD schools. Leasing manager Felicia and the maintenance team led by Daniel have both made living here part of what makes the Alcove at Alamo Heights feel like home. Felicia has been fantastic about communicating issues notifying residents that packages available for pickup, estimated repairs, etc., and I love that there is always recognition of resident birthdays, weekly food trucks on site, and holiday decorating contests and events. Alcove at Alamo Heights feels much more like a community than other larger complexes I’ve lived at and I love being a resident here!
