2714 San Antonio

Stopped here for lunch(11/25/2025) while visiting San Antonio with wife and kids. I got wings with waffle fries, my wife got a chicken sandwich with waffle fries, son got boneless wings with tater tots….anyway, all of our waffle fries were lukewarm. I mean come on, how can you mess up waffle fries? Thankfully the rest of the food was decent. The waitress did a good job(I think her name was Evelyn). Also, it’s a nice area where this restaurant is located. We’ve been to San Antonio several times but we’ve never stayed in this area.

We’re at Pluckers right now, and I have to give a huge shoutout to our bartender, Mike. He has been absolutely amazing. I’ve been sober for over six months, so I ordered a Heineken 0.0 — and I really appreciate that Pluckers actually carries it, because a lot of places don’t. Lately I’ve been having the itch to drink, so I opted for a small shot of Shiner just to help take the edge off. Mike was incredibly understanding, patient, and never made me feel uncomfortable about it. His professionalism and empathy truly stood out. My wife and I have been Pluckers Club members for over six years now, grandfathered in from way back when we only used to visit the original Austin/West Campus location. Now that this location is close to our home, it’s become our new go-to spot — and honestly, everything here has been consistently great. Special thanks to Mike for making today’s visit even better. Exceptional service like his is exactly why we keep coming back.
