The Manhattan Apartments

We have been leaving here for about 2 years, the gate is always open is never closed at night… we have been robbed 2 times in lease then A year. The office people don’t care a bit when ever you go and ask about cameras or the gate getting fix.moving out as soon as lease is over.

I moved in a week ago and I will say things have been good so far ! Quiet and clean environment, nice neighborhood.. snack in the office is a plus and the ladies in the office are super nice . Application and move in process and fast and easy .. all my questions answered and anything that needed to be fixed got fixed same day and the maintenance man was nice . Overall so far a good experience. My unit is spacious . I’m satisfied 🙂

My AC went out which is brutal for these Texas summers. I put in a maintenance request late at night (I went to stay with family) and the next day, first thing in the morning, the maintenance team was there to address the problem. Corey and Carlos tried troubleshooting a couple of different things but ultimately it was time to replace the entire unit. While waiting for it to be replaced, they brought me a portable unit so that my pup and I could stay cool and comfortable in our home. Corey and Carlos worked so quickly and I had the entire thing replaced before I even got home from work. The next day after replacement while walking my dog, Corey stopped to ask if everything was functioning okay with the new unit, something small that made me feel taken care of and valued as a resident. The maintenance team is top tier and I really appreciate their urgency to the matter and their compassion!

I recently moved in to these apartments. By far one of the worst apartments I ever moved into…I had signed my lease back in October for a move for December 1st. The week of my move they called and said the apartment I originally supposed to get was not ready, so I had to switch units! First red flag!🚩 I was like ok I qualified for the move in special and I received a bigger unit. I drove 15 hours on move in day. I saw the apartment and noticed right away it looked dirty. Second red flag 🚩 But I was like ok minor clean and sanitization is normal. No after I got all my things in, I noticed it was completely nasty and not clean at all and to only find out this unit was not ready either! I had to stay up an extra 5 hours just to clean the shower and bathroom to help relax from my move and drive 😤 🚩carpet had stains in the bedroom 🚩carpet wet and mold in the corners 🚩flooring throughout the entire apartment has paint residue everywhere, making the floor look very dirty. 🚩toilet does not flush properly (have to flush it at least 2x) before tissue goes down 🚩 after flushing toilet black stuff flows in making it look dirty 🚩bathroom countertops were dusty and full of paint residue as well 🚩rusted sink with hair in the drain 🚩 door seal strip coming off doors 🚩bugs coming out of everywhere 🚩kitchen counter has burn marks and knife markings 🚩shower not working correctly That’s just to name a few…I understand some apartments will have some wear and tear but to find out this apartment was not clean or move in ready was very upsetting and stressful! I did let the manager know and she just only gave me 100$ off rent for the next month and set up for my carpet to be clean and pest control to come out! Everything else was asked to be put on the move in check sheet! ( It almost felt like nonchalant/passive behavior and not really showing concern!) customer service speaks volume to me! Personally how much I pay monthly is not ideal for the unit I received! I went out my way to try to find products to clean the flooring and countertops to remove the paint residue and nothing works! Like really I have to live in an apartment for a year with floors that looks dirty and an apartment that looks wore down to say the least! This is beyond me and I don’t do nasty! Only thing I can say nice is the neighborhood seems quiet for the past two nights, everything is near the apartments and the apartment unit is spacious! But I am really rethinking staying here for 12 months because no one should have to go through this! Side note: Please visit the apartment before signing lease. Do a thorough walk through!

Uninhabitable, Not Recommended at all! Read the complete review. And see pictures. I do not usually write reviews unless I think it is absolutely necessary. My girlfriend moved in here In July 2022. And starting from day one the problems started. Day 1, Apartment was not even clean, There was dust everywhere and Paint was peeling in places and there were multiple maintenance issues, 2 months later, to this day I am still chasing them to fix the maintenance issues. She could not move in on day 1 (And yes, they want rent for those days). Fridge had 3 broken shelves (Pretty much half the capacity was lost), Was never fixed, I had to swap Fridge from my apartment (I live in same apartment) to my girlfriend's apartment because even after a dozen followups, it was not fixed. Both shower has some black residue in water (see pictures), we have asked multiple times, even after two months, hasn't fixed. Imagine paying for two bed two bath apartment with not place to safely take shower. That almost makes the apart Uninhabitable. Most of the faucets were loose or leaking (Did I mention, She just moved in). Loose light switches, loose wall sockets, and list goes on. One of the bathroom ceiling was leaking, to this day, we are waiting to get the ceiling fixed. And there were more maintenance issue within first two months. I wish I would have taken more pictures/videos of issues. 1 Star is for friendly staff, and zero for everything else.
