Lived here from 2018-2020 in two different single bedroom units during the fall and spring semesters. The apartments itself was really nice however there are some downsides. If you have a unit facing the front of the building near the soccer fields the stadium lights at night it gets very distracting and the morning soccer games are loud. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. The worst aspect however were the fire alarms. There were many times they would be triggered in the middle of the night when there was no fire (maybe because of the temperatures changes). It was by far the worst aspect about living in this place for me.

Stayed here for my sophomore year of school and there were lots of cons staying here as well as lots of pros. Pros: 1. It's all enclosed within 1 building. 2. You have a nice lounge just like the Residence Halls. 3. There are multiple study rooms. 4. The rooms are very neat and clean and furnished and are very much newer and modern. 5. There are vending machines and a water fountain/public bathroom here. 6. Not far from DART bus stop. Cons: 1. On weekends, you have the soccer people taking up parking spots on here with a lot of noise. 2. Water noises can happen from time to time. 3. Laundry can be a hassle as you have a shared laundry room with everyone in the building on the first floor. 4. It's very far from the mainland campus and most UTD buildings. It takes me about 15-20 minutes to walk from CCHS to ECSW. 5. If something minor goes wrong in the building or there's a small fire, the entire building has to evacuate even if it's below freezing outside and in the middle of the night.

Really good apartment/dorm compared to the Res Halls, but the damn emergency alarms go off every time someone starts a cooking fire or when they do a covert fire drill. They go off in every room while it’s “being verified”. It’s incredibly loud and will sometimes even goes off at night. Did I mention there’s no way to tell if it’s a drill, minor cooking fire, or an actual emergency? Someday a bunch of residents are going to die when there’s an actual emergency and nobody bothers to go out because of the false alarms.

So I moved here from the Res Hall on Campus and I can say the aspects so far have increased dramatically from when I was living in the Res Halls. The rooms are spacious and feel like an actual apartment which is great when compared to the resident hall from before. The water pressure from the shower is still pretty weak but you get an actual shower and bathtub which is great. The place is fully furnished and everything works fine and properly but outlets are a bit hard to use and require much more force but other than that everything else is pretty much great.
