I have been living here about 6 months. The office staff has always been very attentive and nice. The maintenance guys are pretty prompt and efficient. The thing I haven't been happy with is the property itself, it's not the nicest. Landscaping is not impressive because of all these nasty birds that crap all over the place and all over cars. It's hard to find a parking spot that's not under some tree where your car won't end up with a ton of bird crap and that's just over night so you're forced to get a carport that's not much but still an addition to your rent. Also some of these tenants need to learn how to pick up their dogs poop!!! You walk out of your apartment and have to smell poop and even possibly step on it! They really need to install cameras around the property.

I lived at The Fountains Apartments for about a year and a half, and unfortunately my experience was consistently frustrating due to poor communication, lack of follow-through, and overall neglect from management and the office staff. Throughout my tenancy, I dealt with repeated appliance and maintenance issues. Work orders were frequently marked as complete when no work had been done, left open for long periods with no updates, or handled inconsistently. The explanation given was ongoing office staff changes and being shortchanged on the maintenance team. For a while there was one maintenance worker for the entire property and he was very good & nice, but clearly needed some help. But the same problems continued well beyond that. During my time here, the following items required repair or replacement: • Refrigerator. The original fridge’s ice maker did not work and took months to address, only for the repair to still not function properly. • Dishwasher replacement • Stove vent hood • Washing machine • Bathroom leak When the refrigerator ice maker was finally replaced (still didn’t work)the maintenance technician mentioned that a replacement had been available for several months but that they were instructed to prioritize other work orders instead. I honestly thought he was joking at first. Eventually they did replace the refrigerator entirely which was a step in the right direction. The apartment itself is very dated, with aging fixtures and poor insulation. In the winter, expect electric bills in the $300 to $400 range due to the outdated electric heating system. Consistently running the heat at 70 degrees, with minimal other electricity use gave me several $350+ bills. (Maintenance told me this was an issue for other tenants as well, so it was not an isolated issue) Water service was also frequently shut off for maintenance, often with little to no notice, sometimes less than 10 to 15 minutes, which was extremely disruptive and unprofessional. There were instances where police were called due to domestic violence issues involving neighboring units, with arrests made. This contributed to an overall feeling of instability and discomfort during my time living here. The parking lot was littered with potholes that went unaddressed for nearly a full year, despite being an obvious and ongoing issue. Additionally, the entrance and exit gates were frequently malfunctioning or completely unusable, sometimes for weeks. The property also suffered from an excessive amount of dog waste throughout the grounds, often directly next to dedicated pet waste stations that had bags and trash cans available. This was consistently disgusting and made common areas unpleasant to walk through. It was also frustrating to see regular food days hosted in the office while critical property issues such as maintenance delays, safety concerns, and infrastructure problems remained unresolved. This made it feel like priorities were misplaced. At move-out, I was charged $165 for a microwave. Maybe this falls on me, but I was originally provided a non working appliance and purchased my own so I could actually use one during my lease. Naturally I took the appliance I purchased with me upon move out. I offered to buy and provide a replacement microwave, noting that a new one can be purchased for around $60 at Walmart, but the manager would not speak with me directly and advised office staff to say there was nothing that could be done. Their unwillingness to even discuss a reasonable resolution speaks volumes. The office staff were generally polite, and the maintenance technicians were always kind and professional. However, multiple maintenance staff over time also emphasized the same issue, poor communication and direction from the office. Overall, this was a really bad experience that could have been much better with basic communication, accountability, and upkeep. I would not recommend living here.

I originally wrote this review shortly after we ended our lease in 2022, but it appears to have been removed—so I’m rewriting it to share our experience and warn others. I lived at The Fountains from 2021 to 2022, and I would never recommend this place, especially if you’re under 30. We were quiet, respectful tenants. We never threw parties, never got a noise complaint, and followed all the rules. Despite this, we were constantly accused of things we didn’t do, like parking in reserved spots or “causing traffic,” even though my partner and I worked late-night jobs and rarely came or went during the day. The worst experience was with our emotional support dog. We submitted all required paperwork, but the staff never communicated with us about approval. They reached out and told us to remove the dog in 30 minutes or face eviction. This was devastating and completely unreasonable. We also experienced constant noise from neighbors above us late into the night, and when we brought this to management's attention, they blamed us instead. The way we were treated made us feel unwelcome from the start, no matter how much we tried to be kind and respectful residents (we even brought holiday treats to the office). The apartments themselves are nice and the area is clean, but the management’s treatment of residents—particularly younger tenants and pet owners—was unacceptable. If you value fair treatment, good communication, and a safe environment for your pets, look elsewhere!
