Raiders Pass

Do not lease here just because the rent is cheap. I spent a year here, and it was easily the worst living experience of my life. The student nickname for this place is 100 percent accurate. Because of the outdoor motel style layout, your front door opens right to the outside. My apartment was a constant dust bowl, and roaches overran everything. I found them by my bathroom sink, in my shower, all over the kitchen, and literally crawling inside my dresser drawers. The kitchen is a joke. There is zero space to prep food because the microwave sits on the counter using up all the room. The cabinets are an ugly yellow color, and the laminate counters are covered in chips, burns, and stains. My coil stove was broken from day one. Three burners didn't work, and the only one that did was detached and protruding upward, so I had to balance my pan on it just to cook. The furniture they give you is nasty and gross to sit on. The ceilings are awful popcorn texturing, and the bathroom vanities are cheap, water-damaged laminate. The maintenance is so lazy that my shower curtain rod wasn't even screwed into the wall. It was literally just resting on top of the shower. I could pull it off with one hand and use it as a defense weapon if I wanted to. For security, there is no gate system at all. Anyone can drive or walk in. The outdoor steps are disgusting and covered in a decade of stains and spilled drinks. Plus, the location on 4th street is terrible. You are nowhere near the stadium, student bars, or nice walkable areas like Overton Park. Do not let this place ruin your college experience.

Worst management. Especially vanya is useless.

I've been living here for 3 months. But every day I saw at least 10 roaches running around the kitchen, and they show up in my bedroom too! I have requested the building to spray, but they always procrastinate it and never do it! Update: I have been living here for 2 years. Please DON'T FALL FOR CHEAP PRICE AND THE ONLINE ADVERTISING/PICTURES. + Bugs/cockroaches: when I first moved in 2019, there were at least 20 cockroaches running around the kitchen (all over the floor, sink, stove, microwave, refrigerator, etc). I contacted the office (email, call, come in person) THEY DIDN'T TAKE IT SERIOUS. They didn't do anything in 1 month; until one day I had to read all the policy in the lease and told them the rule: I have the right to move out immediately if the apartment does not take action after 3 times assigning the issue. I personally pointed out that the roaches were in the kitchen, which had a giant nest behind the fridge (even the staff had came and witnessed it), but the way they solved the issue was: COME IN LESS THAN 1 MINUTE AND SPRAY 1/4 EDGE OF THE WALL IN THE LIVING ROOM, NOT THE KITCHEN! + The office staff is extremely rude! The most inconvenience is package delivery. It is nothing wrong until Raiders Pass never gives you all the packages (because there is something wrong with their system). It is understandable if the staff listen and double check when you come back. However, you showed the text messages from Raiders Pass saying you had 5 packages, and you received only 1 of them, they still told you to go home and check with the delivery companies; they even told you to call the "surrounding apartments"? When it repeatedly happened more than 5 times, I came back and showed then the proof of delivery that was signed by "OFFICE" and the picture taken by the deliverer. They finally checked and gave me all the packages. It's been happening more than 5 times. Imagine you have to go home, find all the confirmation numbers, call UPS, USPS, Amazon, Walmart..., track the packages, claim lost, be put on hold for at least 30 minutes each of your order. Raiders Pass made me claim lost packages with Amazon so much that they started taking pictures and making the office sign every of my order :) You go through all of these processes just because the staff never listens and carefully does their job. One of the reason is because they didn't train the staff properly. I've never seen anyone continue working more than 1-2 semesters. That's why they don't really know what they are doing. I feel like I have to be mean back just to get what I should get at the very beginning. + Never notify when coming to YOUR APARTMENT/YOUR ROOM! One time I was in my room, and someone input the key, then open my door. I was freaked out; that man said he was maintenance coming to test the key. No privacy at all! I went to Seattle for 3 months during summer break; when I came back, my room was full of foot print, the bathtub was all black (I think someone came to check if the faucet was leaking). Before I was gone, I locked my door, but when I came back, the my door was unlock, and my room was DIRTY! I didn't receive any email to inform for this inspection. What if someone figures out this is a "normal routine" of Raiders Pass, they can take advantage of this and act like they are maintenance? I don't feel safe! I emailed them to request: From now on, I would like to receive an email/notification of specific date and time if anyone wants to my room/my apartment. Word to word, their response was: "We have hundred of residents with small work orders throughout the day that we assist so they will be entering when they can". + Don't expect you move in with a clean room! When I first move in, beside the cockroaches running around in the kitchen, I was shocked because my room was coated by dirt. I talked to the office, they never came back to clean my room. I had to do all of that by myself! When my roommates moved out, I noticed no one ever came to neither check nor clean that room. Then another person will be moving in, just like that!
