Monarch Point is a free-for-all dorm. Screaming, loud music, weed, trash EVERYWHERE, drunk harassment, and people running around the complex 24/7. One television is so loud it SHOOK my window. The leasing office says, “it’s community living” and normal. I have lived in multiple college towns and never endured this level of noise or had to report someone for an issue. Even worse, the leasing office doesn’t understand confidentiality. They will tell that YOU specifically reported them. This creates several issues concerning safety, privacy, and retaliation. Regarding retaliation, someone has continuously made unfounded claims about me after I reported them for RIDICULOUS noise. I am a new lawyer…I work A LOT, travel, and don’t have the time to cause problems but according to this resident I had the power to cause noise even when I wasn't home. It escalated to them retaliating against me by VIDEOING MY WINDOW to show my guest brought their REGISTERED dog for a few hours, not multiple weekends as was claimed by this obsessed resident. They held onto this video for weeks and created a false report to act like I was a nuisance. Even though it was a lie, the report still contained information they would only know if they were paying attention to my habits. They were sitting around watching me for a month, just to try to get me in trouble. This was a blatant invasion of privacy. I had evidence to refute some of the claims, and the leasing office originally agreed this was fabricated and TORE UP the lease violation in my presence. Regardless, they still didn’t grasp how unsettling the situation was. The next day, they changed their mind and gave me the lease violation under the “Fair Housing Act." They don't understand the purpose of the FHA and misapplied it to someone whose job is to know the law. If they had actually done their job, they'd know there were multiple violations of the Texas Penal Code because of the videoing and watching my apartment WITHOUT MY CONSENT. If anything with this fake report, they should have called the cops. They rewarded them for behaving like a stalker. ALSO use basic logic: I am trained and PAID to be confrontational. Why would I be writing notes when I could be an adult and address the problem directly? Unlike them, I confront people when I have a problem and don't make fake social media accounts. I have also had issues with people damaging my vehicle. My car has multiple scratches/dents that weren’t present until I moved here. In December, someone peed their pants and left it on my car. I turned it into the leasing office, and they told me to just report it to the cops. They treated me like I had made this up. As if I bought men’s shorts, rolled around in the grass, peed in them, and left them on my own car? Worst of all, someone pried open my gas cap and damaged my gas cap and fuel line. The leasing office apologized but apologies only go so far when bad things are constantly happening to you. ALSO my kitchen cabinets are uneven, windows don't seal, and my ceiling leaks. In October, I came home from a 5-day trip to find the ceiling had opened up and leaked. Maintenance fixed it within a week but didn't clean up. So, I got to spend an hour of my day cleaning up debris off my floor. Update 3/27: Can't work from home today bc my neighbor is making so much noise my coworkers could hear it over zoom. Update 7/17 : My former neighbor has resorted to making fake Instagram accounts to still harass me! Newsflash: accounts can be traced by email. He sent me messages that include info he’d only know if he was GOOGLING me. That is serious obsession. Seriously spending his free time stalking his former neighbor…this all could have been avoided if management here called the cops the first time he crossed privacy lines. Update 11/4: They threatened to turn me into collections for a 100 dollar bill on an apartment that was dirty when I moved in. I am still being harassed by my creep of a neighbor bc of the poor management here and you want to threaten me?!?

We have loved living at Monarch Point! We have been here since August of 2024 and have had an amazing experience so far. Management has always been very kind and attentive to any concerns we have shared. Last year, due to heavy rain and storms, we had a small leak in our apartment. The staff immediately took action in helping us take care of the issue, cleaning up, and offering resources. Any other time we have called maintenance, they resolve any issues and check back in to make sure that everything is still in great shape! We have always felt very safe living here as well. At night, the complexes are well lit and our neighbors have always been very kind. It is also in a great area of Lubbock with lots to do around Milwaukee Ave. At Monarch point we feel safe and cared for. Highly recommend!

We've been in monarch point since January 2025, everything has been excellent so far, administration was and is very friendly with us, maintenance service was very quick to solve us an issue we had with the central A/C. The house itself it's not huge but it's quite spacious, cozy and with very good natural light. I have an irrelevant complaint that is that for some reason the light and bathroom fan switches are placed in a very unintuitive order, which makes it slightly annoying. Still, not something that would make us doubt staying another year. Lastly, the gym is very well equipped and maintained and the pool is quite pretty and well kept, it would be good to have some more shadow around the pool though.

I’ve had such a great experience at Monarch Pointe!!! I moved in within days of touring it and first fell in love with the walk up on the ground apartments that feel like homes, but the reason I would stay/re-sign is because of the people! The staff has taken care of me in more ways than 1, not just fixing this and that as soon as it needs to be but more importantly my SAFETY! Kara in the front office has made sure to make me feel at home and like I can’t call her and ask for anything! I am so so thankful I got a spot here while it first opened because I don’t think there will be free apartments for years here!!
