Catalina West Apartments

I’ve been living here for about 2 or so years and just renewed again for another 9 months. It is a very safe and quiet place to live. Maintenance is always around very quick if any issues arise in our apartment.

The pool maintenance here is absolutely unacceptable. Yes, we've had some rain, but that’s no excuse for four weeks of neglect. The chairs are literally growing algae, and the water looks like the Texas coast after a storm — murky, disgusting, and uninviting. It's summer. This is exactly when the pool should be at its best, and management clearly couldn't care less. Do better. Residents deserve more than this lazy excuse for upkeep.

Catalina Apartments is a great mix of luxury and comfort. The modern design and amenities are great, and the location is super convenient. The management is friendly and on top of things, which makes a huge difference. Everything is well-maintained, and the vibe is just upscale but still welcoming. If you want a stress-free, stylish place to live, this is it.

I don't ever write reviews on Google, but this is ridiculous. I lived in a townhouse on the property for a year and won't be renewing my lease. · The townhouse was built super cheap and not air-tight at all (see pictures, the front door has a gap under it letting in all kinds of bugs, dirt, etc.). · The water froze last winter multiple times and leaked in through the ceiling, you can check a picture for how they "fixed" the ceiling. The lease claimed they took care of the back yard maintenance... the reason I got a town house was for my dog to have a small back yard. You can look at the pictures to see how well they maintain yards... those weeds are ~6ft tall. · The property claims that gates open and close and that the place is secure at night. I have not seen the gates close in months and had to kick a drunk homeless man off my porch about a month ago. ·Lastly, the garage door wasn't fastened properly due to them only using 2 screws instead of 4. The 2 screws that were in place were not enough and the garage door broke free from the arm, sending one of the screws into my new car's windshield and cracking it. They told me they were not liable for this, which is crazy. Even crazier, the maintenance guy put the broken bracket back up into the stripped out holes in the garage to reattach the door as the solution. I could go on complaining but you get the picture.

I have been living at Catalina West for over six months and it is even better than I expected! From the incredible pool, fire pits and grilling area, I wasn’t sure it could get better. But it does! Once inside the three bedroom apartment, you realize how much space there really is!! With the open concept, it’s truly the best apartment complex in Lubbock. Call to schedule a tour now!
