Bledsoe Hall

Cold showers, terrible maintenance staff that refuses to fix broken shower heads/loves to block all the bathrooms at once at 11am on weekdays. Also, multiple power outages, no front desk, vending machines were all broken all year long. Terrible management, probably by the lady in the office that is never occupied.

Oh, wow. Just scoping out the campus layout on Google Maps. What an amazing change since the 1960s. I spent two years at Bledsoe, Room 360 Annex, around 1966-67. Really great during the era of mandatory on-campus housing until reaching age 21. Along with Gordon, we had a shared consolidated cafeteria with the co-eds at nextdoor West Hall. That was great. And, during this era of strict rules for coeds, they had to “both dress and appear appropriately”, for dining. No shorts, halter tops, jeans, hair in curlers, etc. Us guys had no restrictions. We could dress and look any way the hell we wanted! But, wow, coeds! We made an effort! 🤪

Lived in the dorm in 1976-77. Elevator worked, but could only be used for luggage, boxes etc. not safe for humans. No air conditioning except for radiator heating. At least we could open the windows! Hopefully they have fixed all these issues.
