I had a deeply disappointing and stressful experience with 801 LasCo Apartments. After signing a lease and preparing for a mid-January move-in, we were later informed that the current tenants chose to extend their stay. As a result, the apartment we had already leased was no longer available. Management offered alternative units, but none met the requirements we had originally agreed upon. This left us in an urgent and extremely stressful housing situation that we feel could have been handled far more professionally. During this process, our interactions with leasing staff member Katlynn were particularly difficult. In our experience, her communication came across as unprofessional and dismissive, and we did not receive meaningful guidance or workable solutions when we needed support the most. What added to our frustration was feeling as though our concerns were treated as an inconvenience, rather than a reasonable response to a situation we did not cause. We believe that honoring signed lease agreements, communicating proactively, and addressing internal issues with courtesy and accountability should be the standard for any rental community. Additionally, we paid an application fee when applying for the apartment, and 801 LasCo later informed us they were not willing to refund the full amount, despite the leased unit not being provided. In our view, failing to return the entire fee under these circumstances reflects poor accountability and customer care. We were extremely disappointed with this experience, which placed us in a stressful situation through no fault of our own.
