You and your family will appreciate the absence of noise and enjoy the calmness in this small apartment complex. The staff here are friendly and willing to assist you with issues related to your apartment/complex without hesitation. The maintenance crew are ready to help you and are johnny on the spot when it comes to apartment repair problems/issues. You will also feel safe and secure within the complex with secured gates. Your are also near great restaurants near by and the complex is perfectly located near the bus line and freeway.

I have been a resident at Tanglewood Place for a little over a year and I have never had a negative experience with the management, maintenance, or my neighbors. Charles has always been friendly and accommodating to my needs. The maintenance manager, Jose is always on top of repairs and completes maintenance requests in a timely manner. The complex is quiet and is suitable for families. I'd like to address some of the anonymous hateful 1-star reviews on this forums and others. These are blatant smear reviews with little truth behind them. The fact the reviews were submitted anonymously with such a low rating indicate they were made with malicious intent and not meant to offer prospective residents with an accurate review of the complex.

If you move in here the property manager might not give you a parking space. He did not assign me one at move-in and told me that I would be placed on a waiting list if I were to buy a vehicle. After a meeting and sending a follow-up email the property manager then told me that he wants 30 days notice (waiting again). The property manager is an absolute nightmare to deal with. There also appear to be quite a few abandoned vehicles on property (not only in assigned parking) which have been here since I moved in. The two vehicles I pictured (without license plates) have each been in the same reserved parking spots for at least one year to the best of my knowledge; both vehicles have not had a license plate on them during this entire duration, as well. The last vehicle photographed has also been parked in the same space in front of the property (in what should be reserved for guest parking) also for at least one year; has never moved to the best of my knowledge with registration expired for two years. Another vehicle parked in front of the property has been in the same space for months with registration expired for approximately four years. All the nearby city parking has been claimed by neighboring businesses and the parking situation on this property is the worst I have ever seen.

The property manager here exhibits passive-aggressiveness, pathological lying, as well as gaslighting behaviors and is the most concerning I have dealt with in over 25 years. He repeatedly exhibits concerning behavior patterns of which I have attempted to reach out to the owners to speak with them about. As single renter with no overnight guests my bill just for water, sewer, trash charges totaled more than $ 88.00 during December 2023 (almost as high for the previous 5 months or so). Bills here are astronomical; I contacted the property manager regarding concerns pertaining to the power company he recommended, also. His reply (in email), “[You should pay your bill] a lot of us are paying $ 250 to $ 350 per month [for electricity] for the heat wave months.” The hot water pressure at my kitchen sink was terrible upon move-in and after ripping up the kitchen cabinet, and ceiling; replacing pipes with polyvinyl tubing the hot water pressure was better for a short time. However, on Thanksgiving there was an emergency water issue; since that point now the pressure at kitchen sink is bad for both hot and cold water. There are also repeated problems with water and clothes washers not working. The property manager told me upon move-in that there is no management company here which is consistent with what I found while investigating the company we pay rent to. You pay rent to a company which does not appear to have any employees (beyond the property). Furthermore, further research describes Platinum Shield Management as a “foreign” for profit organization (in other words a business not based in the United States). My apartment also has german roaches (regarded as one of the most difficult pests to eradicate). UPDATE: The water/sewer/trash bill did come down at some point during 2024 but I still cannot recommend residing here, unfortunately. (Note: The video below is water pressure at kitchen faucet after they tore up my kitchen to fix this issue. Even though management was informed the issue was not fixed, on more than one occasion, they made no attempt to fix this problem a second time and were rather dismissive about the issue—the pressure has remained this low for approximately the last seven months of my tenancy.)

I am a current resident of Tanglewood Place Apartments going on one year and I must say it is the best place and management I've ever had the pleasure to experience. Mr. Charles Bruce the building manager for close to 2 decades is amazing. He keeps our community safe, clean, and secure. No roaches, clean and beautiful scenery for the complex. It's just an amazing place to live. It's in the heart of the Galleria close to public transportation and a great nightlife scene as well. You'll never have to worry about noisy neighbors because everyone here respects how great this community is and how hard Mr. Charles and Mr Jose who has been maintenance here for close to 2 decades as well. I love it here and you will too! Mr. Charles screens all potential tenants to make sure they will be able to thrive and benefit in becoming a member of our small knit community. Some people have lived here since the building was built so that just says alot about the owner of the building and who manages this property.
