My experience with the application process at Prose Hardy has been extremely frustrating. Before paying the $250 application fee, I was instructed to connect my business bank account and upload my offer letter for employment verification, which I did immediately. After completing those steps, I was later told to forward an email instead of the company directly contacting me. I personally contacted my employer, and they confirmed that no one from Prose Hardy has attempted to reach out to verify my employment at all. It has now taken 6 days just to receive inconsistent updates, even though I was initially told I would have an answer by Monday. I even traveled to Houston expecting to move based on that timeline a waste of my time & gas. I completed every step requested of me, yet the verification process that was supposed to happen was never attempted. For a $250 application fee, the process should be much more organized and professional. I hope management reviews this situation and improves their application process for future applicants declining someone’s application without even verifying my employment Unacceptable!!!

FINAL WARNING - DON’T LIVE HERE I cannot state this enough: don’t come here. This is an apartment complex of perpetual annoyance and complete disregard for its residents. Having a food truck a couple of times a month and hosting an event in the clubhouse is not enough to overcome a culture of retaliation and mistreatment. A few grievances: We were towed on move-in day because no one told us about the parking policy, and management intentionally called the tow truck to clear space. When you call security with a grievance, they threaten to turn over your apartment information to other residents. The constant smell of weed is overwhelming. We have had family members who are expecting, and others with young children, visit and tell us they are not comfortable coming back due to the smell and fear of exposure. The gate works half the time, to the point that people who do not live here linger around regularly and have approached my fiancé. I do not recommend women living here without access to some form of self-defense. Packages are stolen. I find it extremely hard to work from home. I am a lawyer, and between the smells and the noise it is nearly impossible to get meaningful work done. Young professionals do not live here. I chose this apartment because it is closer to work and looked safe enough, but you cannot outrun poor property management. To the apartment’s credit, the exterior is well kept and the maintenance crew is amazing. Thomas is great. But management is petty and retaliatory. We were going to leave quietly, but after submitting a noise inquiry this morning, we were hit with a FINAL WARNING about a trash policy they are enforcing for the first time in seven months, along with a demand to remove a wreath from our door. It could be a terrible coincidence, but the way this building handles business feels completely in line with their consistent behavior: retaliation and pettiness. So I issue a FINAL WARNING - DON’T LIVE HERE. If you are just starting out your career, FINAL WARNING - DON’T LIVE HERE. If you are a young couple, FINAL WARNING - DON’T LIVE HERE. If you want a property that respects the covenant of quiet enjoyment, FINAL WARNING - DON’T LIVE HERE. 03/02/2026 - Update Our car got towed a week after this review. We got a new plate Friday (02/28/2026) to help establish residency here. Car was towed on Sunday (03/01/2026). There’s no weekend “car registration” mechanism in place so we were going to call the office this morning(03/02/2026). No win situation and oddly convenient timing. Feels in line with the same retaliatory behavior.

didn't move in but I liked the area and the price. Had a great experience touring the place with Rue so I just wanted to drop a review thanking him for his professionalism. Very knowledgeable and welcoming. Thanks man! I'll be recommending Prose Hardy Yards to people who ask about downtown locations!

This community is perfectly tucked right on the outskirts of downtown, so I can enjoy the convenience without feeling overwhelmed. My apartment has a breathtaking downtown view that melts the stress away every time I unwind at the end of the day. It’s super peaceful, quaint, and honestly just feels like home. Couldn’t be happier here — and the office staff is amazing- Charles Rue Alana and Vania has all helped me with my move in experience and they’re the reason why I moved in!

I toured the community recently and Rue was incredible! He was friendly, patient, and answered every question I had—and even followed up later with more details to help me decide. He mentioned he was new to the team, but you’d never know it. Thank you, Rue, for making the process so easy!
