All the teachers at this campus are fantastic, but one teacher in particular made a huge difference for me ...Mr. Carlos Rodriguez. I attended my first English course after taking a long break from studying, and it became a strong foundation for me, especially in writing and analyzing reading texts, which had always been my weaknesses in English. I truly noticed the difference when I moved to the next level and found everything easy for me, which gave me a confidence I hadn’t had before, all thanks to what this inspiring teacher taught me. It’s also important to mention that this campus is excellent overall, and I plan to take the rest of my courses here. All the staff members are very helpful and kind, and they always try to keep us informed about the latest updates in education, employment opportunities, and financial aid, as well as anything that can support us as students. They also organize activities that make us feel connected and part of the college community.

Mrs. Precious Jones and Eduardo are THE BEST!!! They went above and beyond to help me get all my kinks ironed out with my courses and my financial aid!!! Hopefully their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed because they are people who actually care about the success of the students!!!

I'd like to honorably mention a few staff that helped me in the student center during my enrollment; Valentino, Eduardo, Ana Martinez & Reynaldo. They made me feel so welcomed & made me feel that I was on the right path. They were so patient & kind, they each helped step by step & answered every question I had (I was really nervous about starting school). Though there were tons of people & I'm sure they were exhausted, they stayed professional & didn't show any signs of distress. They deserve a bonus, a raise, recognition or something for their outstanding work! I hope they stay because as a first year student? they made me confident & let me know I am not alone & also that they care about education!

If you’re taking an exam at the Houston Community College West Loop Campus Testing Center, here’s some information to make your visit smoother than mine! The Testing Center is in room 146, but this wasn’t clear on the booking system, so it took me a bit to find it. Finding the Testing Center Enter through the main door with the information desk (I’ve attached photos to show it). This is key, as there are several doors, and using the main entrance will save time. Once inside, head straight down the hallway, and look for a sign that says “Testing” with an arrow pointing right—follow it to room 146. Parking Parking is easy on the south side of the building. You can park anywhere, but this side is closest to the main entrance. Check-In Process The check-in process is quick and efficient. The staff are knowledgeable and guide you through locking up personal devices to ensure a distraction-free, secure environment. Inside the Testing Room The testing room is quiet, clean, and organized. It’s a shared space with others taking a variety of exams—on my visit, people were taking everything from Texas Life & Health to real estate, cybersecurity, TSA, and more. Testing is done on individual computers, and the room is spacious enough to help you focus. Timing and Flexibility It’s important to be on time for your reserved slot since this isn’t a group testing session. Fortunately, they allow a short five-minute grace period if you’re slightly late, which was helpful for me as it took time to navigate the building. Receiving Your Results After completing the test, you’ll receive a printout with your score (depending on your exam type). I was happy to see I passed! The staff were friendly and answered questions about my results. Overall, the Testing Center is well-run, with knowledgeable staff, a clean and quiet environment, and an efficient process. I hope this helps future test-takers have a stress-free experience!

This campus is a good place to take your classes. I myself took some classes in this campus. The advisors here really suck, and they can easily misguide a new student. Other than that, this place is good. Clean, huge parking and good facilities. I actually like their book store better than any other HCC. People who work in this book store are very humble.
