I was one of the first 20 people to move into these apartments ! With an idea of this being the place that I'd spend the rest of my life at !we were led to believe that they were based on income which is what the then Mayor Sylvester Turner and Counel member Carolyn Shabazz ,as well as the management Brittney and Justin informed us of also ! Receiving 935 a month onSSI ,my rent was at 879 now it's gone up to 937 which is two dollars more than I get monthly ! So it can't be based on income . And as far as the things that goes on here !?it's not busy to watch are report the things other people do as long as it doesn't hurt or harm anyone So I'm not going to say who drinks and smokes in places that we.re not authorized to smoke or drink in But I will say that their has been quite a bit of vandalism and their should be security here Because of the age of the people here otherwise it a great place to live

I am frustrated and disappointed with this property. It can be a great place but it’s not. I moved to this property a year ago. My car was vandalized a few months after I moved here. The same happened to several neighbors. Even the business office has been vandalized. Homeless people have been found in the premises. Although the security has improved a little, there is more that can be done. The second nightmare started when it was time to renew the lease. We all signed our leases according to the rent prices determined by the administration in 2023. A year later, 2024, they come back and tell us that the calculations were wrong and increased the rent several hundred dollars.They also informed us that some of us are living in market rate apartments without our knowledge meaning that our rent can go up again next year. Due to this situation many neighbors had to leave. There is also so much instability. The property has been in business for just a year and we already have gone through 5 managers, 4 maintenance guys, 3 rent payment systems, 2 parking systems. It’s insane! The website is misleading and talks about luxury and amenities that we don’t have. The response of the administration after Beryl was very poor. They showed up 3 days later to checked the property and the residents. Residents with disabilities were stranded in their apartments for days since the elevators were not working. We did not have electricity for over a week. This is a 55+ community. We all have contributed to our society in some way. We have retired nurses, teachers, veterans etc. among us. We all deserve better.
