I want to start off by saying that I have been here for around 5 years. The first 2-3 years were great, and then it just all went downhill from there. Elevators: The biggest issue here at Encore. For the past year, one elevator from the two is practically always out of service. For the past week (Christmas), BOTH elevators have been OOS. This is extremely disappointing and honestly, a safety issue for handicapped individuals who require the elevator. Updates are received, but the issue is never truly fixed - having both OOS is extremely frustrating and just not what I expect from a luxury apartment. The reasoning and blame is always the vendor (Otis), but what's the resolution from the actual complex? Temporary fixes for hours and days until it gets broken again? It truly cannot be all to do with the vendor...enough effort isn't being put in by Greystar and upper management. Disappointing to say the least. Management/Maintenance: Jose Luis, Kyle and Brian are all kind. I hope the complex never loses them because they are the only ones keeping this place afloat. They are helpful and doing the best that they can with the limited resources and guidance they probably receive from their own management. Maintenance issues are mostly resolved promptly, but sometimes the fixes are temporary (nothing to do with the maintenance staff, but all to do with their limited resources and negligence from management). Humidity: For the past two years, I have had terrible humidity issues with my apartment. At first, I thought it was only my unit having issues and that's what I understood from management/maintenance too, but as you can see in the reviews, this is widespread across the community. I had to purchase my own dehumidifier, which runs 24/7 and barely brings the level down to a safe number. Mold started to grow on my clothes/furniture and I had to toss a number of things away. Once again - a safety issue that is widespread but never going to be resolved by the looks of it. My frustration with the lack of effort by management. For us to be paying luxury prices with lackluster resolution is laughable. I will be moving out when my lease is over - even though I don't want to but the issues listed above leave me without a choice.

I lived here for 4 years and only moved away because I moved in with my partner. The community is in the perfect location and is quiet. Very dog friendly walkable area and I was never nervous walking my dog late at night or early in the morning. Maintenance staff is quick to respond to issues. My only complaint is elevator issues intermittently and when I lived there communication was frequent to explain outages but later reviews look like it’s been an issue again recently.

I’ve had an amazing experience living here—definitely a 10/10! The front office staff is always friendly and responsive, and the maintenance team goes above and beyond always. After doing a bit of research, I learned that the ongoing elevator issues are actually due to the elevator company, otis....who are having nationwide issues and delays. I don’t hold this against the property itself because the team here has been nothing but proactive and transparent. Overall, this is a great place to live—especially if you love being in the heart of Montrose and enjoying everything the city has to offer. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a vibrant community and a staff that truly cares about residents.

I lived at Encore for three years. The first two years were great, and that's the sole reason why I'm giving them 3 stars and not 1. However, over the past year, it's been a disaster. There are only two elevators - one at the very front and one at the very back - and one or both of them are always broken. This isn't exaggeration or hyperbole - one or both elevators are literally *always* broken. And I lived on the 3rd floor. The front one, as of this week, has been broken for over two months. My unit was at the very front of the building (near the front elevator) and my movers and I had to lug all of my furniture all the way to the back elevator. The movers estimated that the broken front elevator caused an additional two hours of work (and consequently $400 to my moving bill). Also, people putting their trash out in front of their doors too early was not sufficiently enforced - so often times hallways would smell. One day last month, there were a pile of cigarettes left by my door. That's not the fault of management, I know, but it's just further evidence that the place has deteriorated from when I first moved in back in 2022.

The leasing team and management at Encore exceeded my expectations throughout the application process, going the extra mile to accommodate me and my furry companions. A big thank you to A.J., Kyle, and Bryan for their outstanding assistance! 🙌 the apartment was spotless and completely move-in ready. Unlike other places where I usually feel the urge to deep clean right away, this time I could simply unpack and enjoy. It was such a refreshing experience! The modern finishes in the kitchen and bathroom add a nice, stylish touch, too. One standout feature of Encore compared to other options is their incredible Bark Park—it's massive! My two pups love running around off-leash, enjoying themselves like never before. Watching them thrive here, especially after coming from a place without this kind of space, has been heartwarming. There are also 2 dog wash stations which is an amazing convenience to have. It’s like doggy paradise! The building is huge which is taking me a little bit to get acquainted with. There are several pocket areas with BBQ grills, lounge chairs, fire pits, pool, etc which seem to be up-kept and quiet. Gym has some pretty good machine options as well. Looking forward to taking time exploring that more. Parking garage is a nice feature as well, especially since raining during move-in! The area is walk/bike friendly with lots of restaurant options & grocery store within. 5-10min. The Montrose area in general has a lot to offer. Overall, I highly recommend leasing here, especially if you have dogs. I’ve seen more dogs on walks in the neighborhood in the past 3 days than I saw in the last 3mo where I lived before.
