My time at Cullen Oaks right honestly has been a really good experience so far. My number one fear moving anywhere new is pests (I’m the type to run out of the room if I see one), so the fact that I haven’t had to deal with one here has been a huge win for me. That alone puts Cullen Oaks pretty high on my list! Maintenance is also super fast and reliable. Anytime something comes up, it gets handled quickly without a bunch of back-and-forth, which makes life so much easier. The community itself is quiet and chill, so it’s easy to focus on school or just hang out without feeling overwhelmed by noise. The office staff has also been great. They’re always friendly and quick to get packages, which is perfect since I’m guilty of online shopping more than I probably should. On top of that, the grounds and shared spaces are always well-kept, which makes the whole place feel neat and welcoming. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Cullen Oaks to friends. It’s convenient, stress-free, and has been a really comfortable place to call home during my time here.

I like cullen been here for my 2nd year now, rent is good, you get to choose your roommates and theirs so many different preferences you can put, we have security. I hate that the elevators just don’t work anymore and when they do it’s for a couple days before it brakes again. Other than that, I like cullen, we have many events and great amenities like the printer room, and the pavilion with bbqs. Shout out marcella

Living at cullen oaks has been so stress-free and a valuable experience! The parking is easy, washer/dryers are free and available right down the hall, theres a lot of opportunities for free food, and they don’t play about their policies so you know your voice is heard if you ever have any issues with neighbors or roommates. A special shout out to Anaya for being so attentive to my needs and hearing me out when I was in a tricky situation with a resident. She was incredibly patient, kind, and took action! 10/10 would recommend living here!

Overall, Cullen Oaks is a great apartment complex. Close to campus, clean, and well kept. If you make the effort to connect with staff, management, and administration, you will have a much better experience than if you were to not. During my lease research and move-in phases, Ms. Taylor Fernandez (Marketing & Resident Experience Specialist) has been EXTREMELY helpful, kind, welcoming, friendly, and professional. One great thing about living here is that it is usually very quiet - football game days are really the only exception. With that being said, so far my experience has been great, and I plan to stay for a while.

The proximity to campus is where the value comes in here. If you are willing to live a block or two further away, you can find much better accommodation for the price. My carpets were a disaster and I couldn't remove the smell. Cullen Oaks never responded to this complaint. I covered the odor with carpet deodorizer until I moved out. My refrigerator made strange noises that bothered me at night but Cullen Oaks staff assured me it was normal. You are not allowed to pick your room prior to signing a lease agreement (which is binding regardless of satisfaction thereafter). You may only choose your unit type and hope for the best. I was lucky to get a unit on the ground floor and near the laundry facilities. Finally, I was locked into an additional semester contract even though I hadn't signed anything. It turned out that my mom mistakingly signed an electronic form sent to her via email that was soliciting renewals. She was merely a guarantor, which they require without exception, and should not have been able to lock me into a contract without my consent. I ended up paying a contract termination fee for a contract I never signed! But I can rest assured now, because a Cullen Oaks representative said they were sorry. The positives: Basketball court; Proximity to campus
