I have enjoyed my years here at Castlewood Apartments. The staff is amazing and very prompt in fixing any issues that may arise. Living here is like having an extended family.

They are very amazing people and very nice, and caring. They’re always finding way to resolve any issues or concerns we might have. My experience living here the passed year has been amazing and am currently in the works to move to a 3 bedroom apartment! They work with you and are always looking to make your stay and best and comfortable as possible! Kristy Torres, this specific individual has always helped me out and she is a kind and awesome person! Thank you very much for everything you all are doing for us! Sincerely, Mr. Casillas.

I've lived here for a few years now. I am a single woman, and disabled veteran and I feel so safe and comfortable living care by myself. The staff is amazing and every time I leave a town. They keep an eye on my apartment, which is quite often. Anything you need done with maintenance is done in a hurry. Usually, I'm not okay with maintenance. Being in my apartment without me. But they have a lady that is, so it's amazing. It comes every time I need something done.

I have been living here for five months and so far I like it. The neighbors are friendly and usually quiet. Maintenance is quick. My biggest gripes are that we are paying for an amenity that we still cannot use (the gym). When we first toured these apartments, that office lady said that the gym would be open by the time I was moved in. This was a main reason why we even moved here, to live in a complex with a gym. Yet, many months later it is still not open. I was lied to and that bothers me. For that, i give this place 3 stars. Roaches are also a problem. The day we got the keys to our empty apartment, we found at least 10 roaches that night. They are not as bad but I still see at least 2 everyday and I hate it. Edit: I am adding to my review and changing to 1 star. My brand new car was vandalized some time during the night. All four of my tires were stolen and the car was left on blocks. Mind you, I only noticed this later on, at about 6 pm. Meaning everyone has been walking by my car, maintenance people, office people and all. No one has said anything. The gates and entrances are always left open and unlocked. This place needs better security and cameras! This is ridiculous, I am thinking of breaking my lease and never looking back!

Been living here for two years so here are some pros/cons. PROS: - Near I-10 & 610 (easy access) - Located near a Park - Water bill not too high (under $50) - Single bedroom isn't too small & under $800 - Security after hours - Fast payable rent available online - Quiet - Did not go under water during Harvey (Cars) - Somewhat decent exercise room - clean pool CONS: - Parking is horrible (not enough spaces) - Electric went out (hottest day of the year BTW for 3 days) - Water occasionally goes out (on the worst days, Friday/Saturday or Sunday) - Roaches (They're everywhere but never have I had to fight off so many since I've lived there) - People don't pick up after their animals (At one point, someone was even throwing cat litter at the corner of our complex) - Washer/dryer started off like at 1.35 now up to 1.60 (less than two years) Overall I'd rate this place as average. We've had issues w/the AC leaking and being moldy, water leaking into the living room and front of our apartment and above our shower but all that stuff I've dealt w/before at other places; Can't really escape from that sort of thing. The only thing that really bothered me was the roach infestation, not sure how or where they were coming from but we just accepted the fact that we have to wash everything every time we use it. I'm thinking they'd have to just bomb the place after we leave because they've sprayed and until recently, they've somewhat diminished. Also, seeing how much water that came in from the hurricane, I would think it would have to deal w/the outside of our room not being patched up correctly. Another thing would be the parking; we are given tags when we first move in yet there are still a lot of cars w/o tags and hogging the parking lot. If you have visitors, they're SUPPOSED to park in front of the office w/a visitor tag but haven't seen that before. Chances are if you come after 10PM (any day) you might have to park outside the gate, near the park.
