I’ve lived in this community for over five years, including the period before it was acquired by Camden Property Trust. Unfortunately, the overall experience has steadily declined over time. There have been ongoing construction projects for an extended period, along with repeated water leaks and frequent false fire alarms at odd hours. The construction noise has become a constant disruption and never ending. Recently, new FOBs were installed, but they don’t work in the basement without WiFi — a decision that seems poorly thought out, especially since the gym still hasn’t been upgraded despite ongoing mentions that improvements are coming. This appears to be a corporate decision made without input from the residents, as they were neither consulted nor asked for feedback regarding their preferences. Utility costs have also been frustrating. As a single occupant, I am charged for over ~1,500 gallons for water through allocation billing, which feels excessive and lacks transparency. (I've done numerous water meter tests and no leaks detected from my unit!) What concerned me most was an incident last month when I was four days late paying rent due to being in the hospital. I received a text message threatening eviction. The tone felt inappropriate given the circumstances, especially since I had not received any prior notice or reminder as the letter claimed. When I reached out to management, I was told it was just a generic message sent to everyone. That response was disappointing and did not reflect much understanding or flexibility. To be fair, there are positives. The location is excellent — within walking distance to Central Market — and assigned parking is convenient. The maintenance team has also been responsive and professional whenever issues are reported. Overall, while the location and maintenance staff are strong points, the ongoing disruptions, utility billing concerns, lack of amenity upgrades (gym and conference room in particular) and management communication issues have made the living experience increasingly frustrating.

We’ve had a wonderful experience at Camden Highland Village so far. From the very beginning, Lydia and her team were welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the move-in process. It’s clear they truly care about their residents and take pride in the community. We’re really enjoying living here and appreciate how responsive and supportive the team has been. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a resident here since the property was owned by Fein. Most of the feedback on how downhill the property has been since Camden took over is correct-constant break ins (cars, apartments, storage units) with no intention to solve from the leasing office such as hiring an on site police officer etc. instead, it continues and all they can offer is to “file a HPD report”. Homeless and squatters finding their way into community areas and the townhouses. Landscaping around the entire property was poorly managed-constant mud and water everywhere until they recently decided to turf the sides to save money and rarely any community events non sponsored by outside vendors or actual updates/improvements that don’t look cheap in amenity areas. The only good thing about this place is the location, dog park, and the residents themselves and Anel/Laurenco. Utility expenses have gone up 3-4x+. When asked for proof, leasing office just gives the runaround (like they always do on all matters) it’s taken 8 months since i formally submitted a request and they still haven’t been able to provide any proper documentation and the leasing office rarely picks up phones calls and slow to respond, which shouldn’t be the case for a property that’s fairly leased up and stabilized.. Expect 20%+ of your monthly cost to be your utility charges that you have zero control or visibility into, just filter the reviews here and you’ll see the same feedback from multiple residents.

I’ve had an excellent experience living at Camden Highland Village. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that the staff truly cares about the residents. Everyone is consistently friendly, professional, and approachable, and they always take the time to answer questions or help resolve any concerns. Their responsiveness and attention to detail really set this community apart. The property itself is well maintained, clean, and thoughtfully managed, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. The sense of professionalism combined with genuine friendliness makes living here a pleasure. I always feel supported and confident that any issues will be handled promptly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Camden Highland Village to anyone looking for a high-quality apartment community with exceptional staff and a positive living experience.

I moved from another Camden community to this one, and I have to say, Camden as a management company has been nothing short of amazing. The rent is fair and reasonable, unlike other companies that surprise you with steep renewal increases. I can genuinely feel that Camden values long-term residents instead of just chasing profits from new tenants through admin and management fees, which is rare in today’s market. We’ve lived here in Camden Highland Village for almost a year, and despite a few issues caused by inconsiderate residents (like blocking EV parking spots or leaving dog mess in the stairwell), the management team has been excellent, always responsive and responsible. Tisha and Lydia, in particular, have been wonderful. Every time an issue comes up, they do their best to address it promptly and professionally. The maintenance team is also fantastic, always friendly, greeting us with smiles, and getting things fixed quickly. I truly enjoy living in this community. Although I’ll be moving out soon due to personal reasons, I’ll definitely recommend Camden Highland Village and Camden properties in general to my friends and anyone looking for a great place to live.
