decent price for the size, but a few notable issues, most pressing of which is parking. not enough resident spaces for residents to park in, and residents cant park in visitor spaces - cant even get a temporary visitor pass bc my vehicle is already registered as a resident. functionally that means i get home from work at 12:30 and have to park on the street despite there being a dozen empty parking spots within sight of my front door. and god knows the vultures that work at the towing company they employ will tow you for parking in a visitor spot. a stupid policy that frankly only exists to benefit the towing company, not the residents.

The worst, grossest, most dishonest place to live. They will say whatever you want to make it sound inviting and pleasing and welcome and open. For starters all of the walls have roaches. Pest control coming in and squirting once or twice will do literally nothing. Also they do not keep their words or don't listen to anything they say unless you get it in formal writing, THEY WILL LIE! After leaving us on for weeks, to attempt to downgrade from a two bedroom to a one bedroom, they waited until I literally had to go up there before telling us that "oh yeah I didn't qualify." But they said I would if I had literally anybody making just above a small amount of income monthly. I was told I almost meet the three times the rent criteria and if I had a cosigner, I would qualify. I found a cosigner and after taking my money (which they were in a big rush to do so), they made me wait an additional two weeks. During this time, we were told on the phone, (on speaker) and we both heard the front desk lady say that since I was worried about money during the transition, I can go ahead and NOT PAY RENT YET, to hold off on making any payments towards the old or the new upcoming apartment, and that both units would be pro-rated after the transition. Then I get hit with the eviction threats in email. When I start saying that I don't have that money right now because I'm paying other bills and I was told to hold off on paying rent, the front desk lady lied in front of her boss and said "No, noooo, it was a miscommunication" but she couldn't specify what she miscommunicated about. Because she's a terrible liar but her boss took her side. I told her I would have the money come next check but she was already threatening eviction, and so we had no choice but to lose the apartment and literally go homeless avoid an eviction on my record. During that whole conversation about the eviction that's when they decided to verbally say that I didn't qualify anyway because I did not make six times the rent with my cosigner. That was the first I ever heard about this "six times the rent" bullcrap. They will lie, manipulate, and squeeze every bit of money out of you if they can. I would not recommend anybody living here if you value your peace and want an honest staff.

Lived here a year ago and can’t tell you how much more peaceful your life is after moving out of these apartments. It was like going to war every day against the cockroaches. Constant issues with just about everything in this apartment. I moved into a luxury apartment closer to downtown Fort Worth for just $300 more per month. Let me tell you that it was the best investment I ever made. The peace you have when you’re going to sleep and not worrying about waking up with a cockroach in your bed is unmatched. It’s not even that cheap anymore at West Wind and I honestly wouldn’t rent from West Wind again even if I was getting paid to live there.

The rooms and the kitchen are tiny. The bedroom actually doesn't have a freaking light, and the ac barely works. Bedroom is also carpeted, which is a personal dislike of mine because carpets get dirty so easily and are difficult to clean. The laundry room's door opens weirdly as the hand has to be turned upwards instead of downwards for some reason, and maintenance takes freaking forever to come by for simple fixes that seem to break again immediately after. The pool is nice.

I lived in the apartment 5 years ago and I'm glad to see nothing has changed. One of the reasons I moved in because the rent was so cheap. On the first day moving in never had see the apartment I was renting before there were no baseboards. I told maintenance and nothing ever happened. I didn't press the issue. I was just happy to be living on my own. But, trust your gut. Problems were inspections done in the morning when I was sleeping. They would just walk in without knocking. Roaches were not to bad. Let's just say keep your pots and pans covered or rewash them.
