The RAD program in Fort Worth has, in my opinion, transformed this community into a shadow of what it once was. Much of the landscaping has been removed, amenities have been reduced, and the property is in need of a comprehensive overhaul of its fire suppression system due to ongoing leaks and failing pipes. Unfortunately, many of these issues have led to hidden water damage and mold within the walls and ceilings. Simply driving through the property tells the story. It's common to see numerous broken or missing blinds, torn window screens, and patios cluttered with items that would typically violate the rules at most multifamily communities. The overall appearance reflects years of deferred upkeep and inconsistent enforcement of community standards. When residents see conditions continue to decline, it can create the impression that maintaining the community is no longer a priority for anyone. The on-site staff can only address so much with the resources they're given. In 2019 RAD became a 51% owner with the expectation that the program would help fund much-needed capital improvements to a community that was originally built around 1998 by AMLI. Since then, the property has changed ownership multiple times—from Hat Creek, to Ohala, to RPM, and now to ResProp. With each ownership change, long-term investment in the property seems to become less likely. The leasing office staff can only do so much with an extremely limited maintenance budget. In my experience, the on-site team is often left trying to address residents' concerns without the resources or support needed to make meaningful improvements. Ultimately, it feels like the focus from upper management is on occupancy and revenue rather than investing in the property's long-term condition or the quality of life for its residents.

I never ever leave reviews. But this is the very least I can do after my experience. Before finding The Henderson, I had toured six apartment complexes in two days. By the time I spoke with Linda, I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and honestly starting to feel discouraged. From the very first phone call, she stood out. She answered every question I had with patience and honesty, and when I came to tour the property, she treated me like a person not just another applicant. Walking the property, every resident we passed greeted her and it was obvious they genuinely know and trusted her. That alone stood out. When we walked into the unit, she said, “Welcome to your new home,” and it didn’t feel scripted, it was sincere. Originally, I planned to apply two weeks later, but due to unexpected personal circumstances, I ended up needing to move immediately. When I called Linda back she could hear the stress in my voice and stopped the conversation to ask me if I was okay. Not once, but twice. That is someone who cares. Less than 12 hours later, Linda had me approved and moved into my apartment. She guided me through everything, introduced me to residents and the maintenance staff, and made me feel comfortable during a difficult transition. I can honestly say Linda is the reason I chose this complex. She is professional, caring and incredibly genuine. In over 15 years of renting, this is the first apartment community that has ever made me want to leave a review. Thank you, Linda, for making a stressful situation feel safe and manageable.

Moved in April 2025 moved out April 10th 2026. Told them wasn't renewing in October last year, phone died so had to tell her in person. She was rude, why I didn't have phone. Then cat papers got shredded, then lost,3 time stayed cause brought VA guy in yeah that guy to get point across. Had PTSD cat that lost his Veteran. The AC gauge went south first week, down stairs neighbor slammed doors at 12 to 3 am, trash nasty in parking areas, toilet was rigged to act like handicapped but wasn't, up north we call it Jerry rigging, pantry had no port hole for draining water off or pan so used buckets, place smell like skunk weed all the time, down stairs in 126 used it but had door slamming problem. My lease was up March so they decided to do a rent hike on me through MHMR since I'm disabled & got cancer. Took $2000 to break me out. To get to better housing, which cost less. Then worse thing you could do to be rude. Took keys & fob in on 30th. She says how's it going,I'm like really. Did say it but,was thinking it. It keys down said apartment 226's. Then she says don't you dare come in here disrespectinge like that. iI'm former military's wife,5 generation military brat. My mind went seriously deranged. I left. Not worth your time or money people, let alone your sanity. They got paid whole month of April,I wasn't there after 10th. Then get treated rudely when drop off keys. I'm 60 years old & no one talks to me like that. Something wrong there. RENTER BEWARE nothing has changed. It's money pit for profits is all. Rude people behind desk. Sincerely Miss G. Yeah veterans you know whom I am. Don't rent here.
