Edit: All my issues are with upper management letting this place go. The manager that they have in now, and the maintenance team that they have, are fantastic and doing everything that they possibly can. Turns out they did run an episode of bar rescue on this place but we haven't reached the end of the episode yet! Zero emergency line for maintenance, zero response even for flooding, there are no amenities even though they charge an amenity fee, busted out windows, broken air conditioners in the summer, I could go on. This place used to be fantastic but it needs an episode of bar rescue

It was a wonderful experience. I really appreciated the friendly way they helped me to complete my application and showed me different apartment models so I could choose the one that best suited my needs. Excellent service.

This is long but worth the read if you move in here. I’m normally not the type of person to leave reviews and I am normally the type to let people figure out for themselves but this apartment is literally crooked and feel like I need let people know. I will try not to tell the long story but basically make sure to cover your tracks and keep great records of every correspondence you have with the office. This apartment is owned by a large corporate conglomerate KPM from California and that being said, this makes it very difficult to have serious issues (like mine) resolved if you don’t have records to back up your claim. So here is what happened.. I moved in and signed a short term lease seven months, and had my move out date set in stone and per the contract I had to give my notice of non-renewal of my lease by the date it said in the contract which I did both through email and in person to the property management Selma. I cleaned the apartment just how I had left it and went by in person face-to-face to drop off my keys and let Selma know everything was all moved out and good to go and she smiled confirmed everything was good to go and that was it. Well here’s where it got harry. I received a another invoice from this apartment charging me for another month rent for the month that was passed my move out date that was even outside of my lease agreement which was very odd and I had no idea why I was being charged that and that every single one of my payments had gone through Every month there was no late fees yada yada so me being overly cautious I printed out a copy of all of my bank statements and gathered up all of the emails that I had from the office. I emailed the issue and dropped off in person through the mailbox since their office is always closed and heard nothing back from the office. I then decided to forward that email to the corporate headquarters CCing the Montecello mgmt on that and they finally returned my email and said oh this must be a mistake or clerical error ! We will get this resolved…time went by and I assumed it was all taken care of and one day I get a letter in the mail from a debt collection agency that they had turned it into and I was blown away that’s when I knew they were crooked. I just had a suspicion when I moved in that I needed to keep my records pretty tight and the fact that I did help me able to make a claim against that debt collection agency there was a checkbox on debt collection letter to check if you believe you’re being charged for an amount that was not owed by you and to provide any evidence of this claim. I certified mailed the letter back in with all of the emails, statements and records and have not heard from them since. Story summarized - just keep good tracks and never trust anything that’s not sent through email with this apartment’s office management. My last complaint about this place, that a really frustrating ongoing situation, was severe rat problem that they would not take an action on fixing and left me to take care of myself. The pictures I added were after I had left for a week for work and came back to rat poop all over the room and in my bed and you can see the rat pee stains all over my sheets and mattress it sucked. I brought it up multiple times to the apartment, and submitted requests through the online maintenance request portal and they wouldn't do anything but leave sticky pads and then my online requests were be shown as "resolved" and closed out when nothing was taken care of :/...The apartment I stayed in was shifting bad from erosion I'm assuming because there were large gaping cracks under the base boards that the rats were able to slip under and live inside the walls. At the end of the day, it just seems like they are cutting some pretty major corners on taking care of residents and have some pretty serious management issues that people be aware of when moving in here.

Do NOT move into these apartments. The management is an absolute disaster and constantly changes every couple of months, which means no consistency and no accountability. All the recent reviews you’ve read. 100% accurate. The issues aren’t resolved, they’re just getting worse. Right now, we’re dealing with a major trash problem. The dumpsters haven’t been emptied since mid-April. Management sent out a weak, generic apology email, but the trash is STILL sitting there, rotting. To make up for the overflowing dumpsters, they brought in one of those giant waste containers, it hasn’t been emptied once and is taking up residents’ parking spaces. When that filled up, they added three more smaller dumpsters, which also haven’t helped. It’s disgusting. The trash is attracting swarms of flies and gnats, and the smell is unbearable. I can’t even sit outside without being overwhelmed by the stench or swarmed by flies. It feels like a health hazard at this point. These are by far the worst apartments I’ve ever lived in. Management clearly doesn’t care about anything except collecting rent. None of that money seems to go toward upkeep or maintaining the amenities we’re supposedly paying for. If I could give this place -10,000 stars, I would. Avoid this place at all costs. Updated 5/14: Now they’re threatening to tow our cars at our own expense if we park near the overflow bins—the same bins they placed in our parking lot because they failed to remove the old dumpsters and trash in the first place. Instead of taking responsibility for the mess they created, they’re punishing residents for it. They’ve sent out multiple weak, copy-paste apology emails about the trash situation, yet nothing has changed. The piles of garbage are still there, rotting and attracting flies, gnats, and who knows what else. It’s disgusting, it’s unsafe, and it’s clear they have no real plan to fix it. It’s just another way to get more money from the residents and that money can’t even go to getting the trash taken care of. What an absolute joke of an apartment complex.

This place is absolutely disgusting. Roaches, mice, and filth everywhere, and management couldn’t care less. They’re quick to fine residents for a ‘messy’ porch but leave vacant units full of trash and pests. The so-called ‘amenities’ are unusable—filthy, broken, and neglected. Homeless people wander the property, break-ins are common, and security is nonexistent. Management is a joke—completely unresponsive and only around when it’s time to collect rent. Save yourself the misery and look elsewhere!
